Wetherby Whaler Pudsey in Leeds

My MIL and my husband love this place. Unfortunately for me, I can’t handle fried food so the fish and chips are wasted on me.

Ordered for 1800 to pick up took a extra 15 minutes so the fish was as tough as old boots. The staff are absolutely useless gave them another chance but took 20 mins for chicken nuggets when it was pretty much empty, won't be going back there

Great fish and chips. Had to remind waitress about a couple of things missed from order but all in all thoroughly enjoyed.

Their fish and chips is the best I've had so far in Pudsey! Crispy batter, fish cooked just right. Chips are of a good quality too. The food is not too oily like in other places and the service is quick.And to top it all off they serve in paper and cardboard boxes which are all recyclable. It has never disappointed so far!

The food was excellent, perfect portions cooked to perfection and very hot! 😊 The customer service and care excelled expectations. We went to the Wetherby Whaler in Pudsey for my Father-in-law's 90th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we wished that we had noticed the name of the member of staff who served us and helped with the cake. I hope that they read this review, and if so, THANK YOU xx

We had an excellent meal here today, great value, great portions, lovely lady who served us, very friendly.🙂

Walking past today just fancied a portion of chips nearly £2.50 for such a small amount not peeled properly slightly under cooked and a lot of inedible scrappy chips, there are plenty of chip shops in pudsey this will be the last time I visit wetherby whaler.

Well I’m amazed. This is our favourite restaurant but today we got a take away. Had the food been in the restaurant we would have not eaten it, indeed we hardly did anyway. The fish and chips were the worst we have had in a very long time. The chips were I’m guessing warm up from the previous evenings leftovers. Some chips were just bits, others dark brown and cold. The fish I also think we’re leftovers, the batter you could hardly get through , so tough and the fish so dried up. What a huge disappointment from regular restaurant attenders. We are now put off going again. Certainly will never go there for takeaway again. I really don’t understand how you can let your customers down so badly.

Lovely food, excellent portion size. Hood value for money. Well mannered staff. Left feeling completely stuffed 😊

I love this place,been coming here years. Today was rather special though as it was my dad's 70th and we bought him a huge cake the staff were great as always took care of everything brought it out. Dad got the biggest surprise of his life everyone sang and joined in it was really memorable for him. ♥️. Fish and chips is his favourite meal so great time had by all 👍
