Been going here over 30 years off and on. Called in for a mid-week meal, and I was very impressed. The menu was very good. Normal pub meal prices. I had the ribs, which I recommend if you like them. There was a good choice of beer, and my pint was excellent.Only one member of staff behind the bar and serving meals, but there was no delays, to be fair. She was friendly and helpful. Toilet facilities excellent. Good, friendly atmosphere, highly recommended. ... I could tell a few stories from 30 years ago, mind!

I attended a meal with my friends, where we had pre-booked a table, and there were 6 of us. I had ordered lasagne, and unfortunately upon, receiving my meal, it was very very burnt, it was a congealed mess covered with melted cheese. Underneath, 80% of the lasagne was hard to touch, and pretty much inedible. Of course, I had to send this back, because I simply could not eat it. This meal did in the end get swapped out for hunters chicken, however upon (very) politely complaining, the member of staff told me “that is the best part” which is laughable to the point where it’s the most unhelpful comment to make at a customer receiving poor quality food and had no apology to offer me at all for the standard of food that I received, had this happened at my local ember inns, the staff would have been lovely. The staff member told me if I wanted a replacement I would have to wait because they are low on staff, but I did not have a choice, i can’t describe how inedible this bowl of lasagne was. It is not helpful for a member of staff to insinuate I would have to wait a while because I’m choosing to send it back . My friend had also received her meal way after everyone else because it got missed. It’s not worth the money for staff who aren’t able to show empathy over customers who just want a value for money meal, and who are very polite about it. Apart from that all my friends meals were perfect, it’s a shame I had this experience.

It's a great little place, parking a bit restricted but once inside it's a very friendly pub staff are friendly and there is a good choice of beers/lagar, as for the food a wide variety from vegetarian, vegan and of course omiverous to , there also a children's section, it's also dog friendly , and a beer garden/patio + 1 TV if you're into sports. All in all a nice place

We called in for some tea on the way home to Menston last Saturday. We were having a lovely meal until a couple of dogs starting barking at each other and one of the dogs pooped on the floor and made us all feel a little sick! We are big dog lovers however never seen that before and the poor bar worker had to pick up the remaining bit which was left by the owner…bless her! Not nice to see and has put us off a little, sorry guys! Staff lovely and friendly x

We usually go to The Stone Trough in Rawdon but as The White Cross is part of the same chain we thought we would have a change of scenery. Unfortunately it's not up to the same standard. My wife's ribs and chicken were fine but my sirloin was mainly fat and very tough.

Great food and great service. Wide range of food on the menu so there's something for everyone

Had the Fish & Chips on the fixed price menu, the fish was terrible couldn't cut it and the batter was falling from it. Don't think we will be returning.

6.99 for 2 courses mid week.I had soup, then the pie you can see in the photo. No word of a lie- it was AMAZING! The pie was crispy and full of flavour. Chips crispy and fluffy. Soup was seasoned beautifully and served with warm bread. How can you go wrong at that price? Can't believe I haven't eaten there before and will totally eat there again.
