Without doubt the best Sunday roast lunch I have ever eaten! It was superb - top cut of beef, really tasty (and copious!) gravy, properly roasted potatoes, huge Yorkshire pudding. The starters were also very original and tasty too. I can’t recommend enough - I rarely review on here but this meal merited it. It was a lovely setting for a birthday lunch too. Will be back.

Went for Sunday lunch 27/2 and it was one of the best Sunday lunches we have ever had, starter, mains, dessert & drinks all excellent in a really nice setting & atmosphere.Service was excellent, George, on his first shift, was very polite and informative, will definitely return.

So upsetting. We come here a lot and have always had a lovely time. Great food and service and I've always highly recommended the place to all my customers.However, sadly we had booked the tasting menu for my partners birthday. I don't think they believed it was his birthday as it's 13th of February and therfore around valentines day.I'd asked for a little something with the deserts, which was forgotten.Oysters lovely as always. However, every single dish apart from this was disappointing. Under seasoned, undercooked and without being able to pinpoint, we both had 12 hour sickness for after the meal.My partner is a senior sous chef and therefore knows his food quite well.The muscles had grit in them and I nearly broke my teeth, I didn't eat the rest, neither did my partner.The desert was freezer burnt with ice in it and so tough I couldn't cut it without it flying off my plate.We had the wine tasting to which we were given wine with no meal, when I asked what course it was meant to go with the waitress said "food"...We were so disappointed, we never got anything for his birthday and every meal we explained what wasn't great and the waiter just thought we were joking because we were trying not to be too blunt about it. We paid in full including a big tip because we didn't want them thinking we were complaining to get money off.However, we were so disappointed, I never want to return and sadly tell all my customers not to go there, (I get a lot of people wanting to know where to eat in leeds) my partner wants to return and give them a second chance... we will see.I hope this helps in some way for people wanting to eat here.We have had lovely meals and lovely service in the past, but sadly, they let us down massively and didn't seem to care. If they had rectified it in some way, I think we wouldn't be as upset, but sadly they really didn't care.

Bottomless brunch drink choices quite limited. Food nothing to go crazy about, but was reasonable. Great venue and friendly staff.

There were so many groups having an epic brunch we feel so lucky to have tagged along 👍great food and amazing drink/hospitality on a very miserable Leeds afternoon. Thank you

Wine was ok. For the starters we had smoked haddock arancini that were ok but nothing special (I dont get it how do they sell it for £8.50...). For the mains we had pork fillet and beef. Ive never eaten pork fillet so overcooked. It comes sliced, so if you are calling yourself a chef, you can clearly see that meat is overcooked when you slice it(?). Beef was cooked nicely, but both dishes were underseasoned. Overall, both dishes seemed like housewife's attempt to cook "something interesting" for her guests... service was just ok. No one checked on us when we were eating our starters/mains, even if it wasn't busy in the restaurant...one waitress looked like she really hates her job. It seemed that no one really cares about food or service in that place.Overall, it is a shame. We've been there a few years ago and it was lovely...wouldnt come back again...

Overall this place was pretty good. I'd recommend the food and the wine selection was great. The beef was good and the Yorkshire puddings were lovely and crispy. However, there were a few issues ranging from minor to terrible. For example, the welcome from the waitress was than...'welcoming.' The same waitress forgot to process some of our sides which we discovered half way through our main...with no apology. Unfortunately, these were the least of the the problems. The waitress did lighten up when her friend entered the bar with a dog who she then left the restaurant to stroke and pick up. This of course in-between serving food. She was then joined by more than one of the chef's who, unbelievably, stroked the dog in front of paying customers! I'm sure they washed their hands afterwards, but this doesn't scream professionalism! On the other hand, another waiter (James) was fantastic. Very welcoming and very attentive.

Absolutely delicious. Ate things I don't even normally like (ie, mushrooms) as they miraculously had made them tasty! Wine was also great. January deal was 50% off food so I'll be going every January from now on, ha!

Absolutely delicious food in a chilled atmosphere! Made even better by the fact it was reasonably priced for what you get. Literally the ONLY reason I haven't given 5 stars is because we were left waiting at the end for over 20 minutes to receive the bill, which I would totally understand had it been busy however we were the last table there, and in the end we got up and paid at the bar. Other than that the staff were very attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!
