Zed Bar in Leeds

Love this place! It’s got a great vibe and the decor is super cool throughout. The bar is styled and stocked beautifully and the bartenders and waiting staff are lovely. We had some delicious cocktails and an equally impressive meal. Was fun! We shall return.

Most appalling experience ever. We went for a work event, they were over 40 minutes late to start our brunch. Which In turn made us late for our booking at Roxys. We were forced to choose between loosing a £100 deposit or staying for a main course of food after a round of Luke warm, bland starters. The GM still saw it fit to charge us £300 for 3 bottles of Prosecco, 5 beers and 12 terrible starters. They cancelled the vegetarian and instead offered chips… My advice, it’s gone down hill and do not bother visiting. The GM and general staff do not care. I’m embarrassed that they felt the need to charge us £300 for such a terrible debacle. Will not be returning.

We went to East 49th as a works event. We ordered vegetarian food for it to be cancelled with no other option offered other than Fries!! Utter jokes. The staff were really rude n not understandable to the circumstances.The general manager thought it was acceptable to still charge us £300 for 3 bottles of Proseccos 5 beers and 12 cold awful starters. The place has gone hill massively and will not be visiting again !

The place was packed and very noisy. Lady welcoming guests was quite rude when we requested a table. Didn't even try to accommodate us.... Been there previously and loved it.

Terrible, dry starters like they were prepared in a microwave. To make things worse, these were charged £8-9 each! However drinks are alright and the overall ambience is nice and relaxed.

Staff were excellent and very friendly. We asked to move tables and were accommodated very swiftly to the terrace and under a heater. Service was very fast. We had the free flow bubbles so the waitress was regularly checking up on us and we never had an empty glass. Our main course was the Surf and Turf sharer which was excellent value compared to the individual itemsbon the menu. The Sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster was delicious. It was very busy in the main restaurant and we were told we only had table for 2 hours but did not feel rushed at any point. Overall a fantastic dining experience.

Fantastic service from the staff, reasonable prices and lovely to sit outside on the roof terrace to eat and drink. Chef was happy to amend my meal to tailor to personal dietary preferences. Pretty busy all week it seems. Highly recommended, thanks East 59th team!

Very wonderful restaurant. Food was wonderful. I really enjoyed the chicken skewer starter! Need the recipe for that! Also the nachos starter are the best nachos I’ve ever had! The mains! The sirloin steak was divine! Oh and I had this really beautiful South African Chardonnay! The service was top notch! Really recommend it!

Seamless experience from start to finish. The team are so proactive in ensuring they anticipate your needs before you even have to ask. Food is on point for quality and reasonably priced. (Recommend the king prawns to start) . The DJ / terrace and decor capture that holiday escapism feel. Gorgeous cocktails and again can't praise the team enough all happy to snap pics for you and interested to get to know why you're visiting and able to ensure its a special experience.
