Chips and cheese...? Wheres the cheese? Waited 20 minutes for them to cook & we put them in the bin, chips were dry and tasteless and hardly any cheese. Not that cheap either.Edit in response to the aggressive owner... 1. your staff didn't weigh it, i stood and saw her take it out of the box. 2. I mean it isn't cheap as in that's not an excuse to be so bloody tight and 3. Your previous passive aggressive comments to other reviewers says fresh chips never take longer than 7 mins.

Just had probably the worst fish and chips I've ever had. Fish was cooked while you wait so you would assume it would be good, but no, unfortunately soaking wet with grease. If I hadn't driven away before eating them I would definitely have taken them back, wush we had checked the contentsfirst, but wanted to get back while they were hot. First time I've ever been glad to be given a small portion, the chips were not cooked well, tasted more like card. We enjoy a walk along the front, it definitely won't include going into this chippy again.

Last Friday met up with family from Lincoln parked in Sandilands and walked with dogs on the beach to Sutton. Very hungry we picked up haddock and chips from the Dolphin and ate them at the paddling pool near the beach I kid you not the best haddock (cooked to order) we have had for years the only bad news is they don't keep the scraps! Five stars if they stop scrapping the scraps!

We got fish and chips tonight and all I can say is I will never be going back!!!The fish was cod … we asked for haddockChips were all bits and they looked like they had been kept warm for ages.Not good at all😞

This has been a great chippy where my family have come for years...my order did not go through after my daughters so families meal were cold! It was a simpleorder.Had to remind them & then I was charged a full kids box, but not given the drink!!

I've come here many times years ago and present.Freshly cooked fish and chips,top quality and a bargain.will be back

I've had fish and chips here twice now and both times the food has been really nice, great location on the high street and parking out front if you're lucky.

We travel from Mablethorpe to Sutton on Sea for this. Best take away fish and chips around. Not greasy like some others, good portions.UPDATENow the summer season has nearly finished, they now cook to order. The recent cod & chips we ordered where under cooked and had soggy batter underneath. They were also greasy and not drained well.Very disappointed.

My son enjoyed his battered sausage and chips, and the chips were nice too, however the fish was rubbery and chewy and the batter on the fish was unpleasant. I wouldn't visit again.In response to your comments today (3rd August 2021) to my review:1) I regularly shop at two different fish and chip shops in Mablethorpe and one in Cleethorpes. I have probably ordered 20 or 30 times this year. I have not had one single issue with my food. Why are you putting the emphasis on me to complain, rather than you to serve the food in a decent state in the first place?2) No apology? Just a shift to your average review being due to me? Look at my other reviews, I do leave a fair few, and I have never left lower than 5 stars before. I did leave 3 stars for you, which was a fair review in my opinion. 5 stars means in my eyes an excellent experience and it wasn't, regardless of whether I complained in person or not, and regardless of whether you replaced the fish or not.3) Circumstances meant that I couldn't make it back to the shop. We were parked up a few hundred metres away, and I could have come back, however with a disabled person in the car, and with them feeling worn out and not so right, it wasn't worth the bother. I won't go into detail on here. If I had come back in, and got some more fish, and went back to the car in our current situation, it wouldn't have changed my three star score, because of the hassle I would have had anyway.At the end of the day, you didn't get it right, the fish wasn't nice, my review reflected this but was balanced. You didn't feel the need to apologise, just turn it around on to me, and the (as you say) you put in brackets is insulting.

We’ve just had what has to be the nicest fish in chips we’ve had for ages! Beautifully cooked and tasty cod and really lovely chips. Kiddo said her cheesy chips were nice too! Thank you 😊
