Mariners in North East Lincolnshire

I can say with certainty i will never buy from this stinky old gaff again, had a 3 legged spider running round the box and the chicken was still clucking at me, even after i threw him in the bin. Bleeding disgraceful, makes Broadmoor look inviting

My partner and I have just ordered from the mariners in Cleethorpes kebab shop. Seen few mixed reviews. The food came lot hotter than most and we Ordered medium chicken and donner kebabs with salad with garlic sauce with chip. To much to eat definitely another meal tomorrow. My opinion fresh and tasty would definitely recommend this kebab shop

Fish and Chips arrived after it was stated they would be delivered. The fish and chips were cold, they tasted awful, and tasted like they were cooked the day before. Awful, waste of money will not be going there again!

DONT EVER BUY FISH FROM THIS TAKEAWAY.I’ve just ordered fish for the first time from Mariners and I’ve never ever tasted such a poorly cooked fish In my life. Must’ve been sat there under the heater all day and maybe all day yesterday too.. was solid inside and out, very very hard to cut through. Absolutely appalled.

Appalling service, cold food, rude staff definitely refusing to hear complaint about order and was abusive. Hope he goes broke. Steer well clear of these rude, robbing, sly providers of gruel...

Absolute shocking takeaway, would never eat here again. Meat on pizza would barely pass for cat food, on top of that pizza was far smaller than ordered; and was far below microwavable frozen meal standard. Cheese sauce couldn't have been worse if it came from a can. Missed out the cheesy chips on the order. In short go hungry instead of ordering here.

Definitely recommend chicken Donna and chips. Sorry forgot to take picture but it was nice. Only halal food place that was open at lunch. We were staying at Cleethorpe but there was no halal food available during lunch. Thanks mariners.

Got large fish and chips but the chips were so under cooked they were practically anemic. Took back for refund got a very negative response from whoever served me even called me a smack head for some reason. I guess he was having a bad day. I won't be back

Today I ordered a 12" pizza. When it was delivered it looked small so I measured it 10". I contacted them and they said it was a "platter pizza". Obviously "platter inches" are different.I think I got conned, a round pizza 10½" in diameter is only 87% the area of a 12" pizza. I was a regular customer, but no more!See photo.

Mariners takeaway is Grimsby road Cleethorpes its listed as a kebab shop. This place sells just about everything in the way of fast food, Kebabs, burgers,chicken, Calzones, pizzas, jacket potatoes, desserts, wraps,pies,children's meals and fish and chips,they have lots of meal deals here and the full menu is online.The choice of fish is limited to Haddock of varying sizes and Scampi, the price's are very competitive and the shop itself is warm, clean and well lit and has a small amount of seating inside. It has good wheelchair access and there's parking space outside on Grimsby road and adjacent side streets. They have a delivery service and you can order online, I believe that it's cash only here.It has a 5***** food hygiene rating.Food review Jan 2019.I had a short wait for one of the three staff here to acknowledge my presence and finally serve me,they were busy talking to each other. I ordered a large fillet of haddock and chips. I didn't have to wait as everything was pre cooked.The fish wasn't large,the batter was soggy and the flesh was grey in colour and had no flavour,it was also barely warm. The chips were pretty poor as well, I had to sort through them to find the edible ones as most were too small, too hard and dry for the plastic fork I was provided with to cope with,these were barely warm aswell.At £3.95 I couldn't even argue that it was good value for money here having had better meals of better quality and portion sizes elsewhere for the same price or less. I normally go out my way to find something good about the places I review I must admit I struggled to that here,with regard to the fish and chips anyway however they do have a good range of food on offer, they deliver and they have a good hygiene rating, that's about it.
