Nice fish and chips 🍟 but long wait due to just one girl serving

Just had fish and chips the fish was greasy there was more batter on the fish than fish.If anything the chip was dreadful there was that much grease formed on the bottom of my false teeth the Fat tasted deity !! Its was very greasy.. not very tasty the only good thing about it the Vinegar taste nice !!. The fish was overcooked it was dry ..it wasn't very white it was more brown 😕 colour.... if the people think this fish and chip shop is Good obviously some people don't know good fish and chips from bad ones...

Just went 2 hours before closing got chips and 2 bread buns was only fit for the bin! Cold and dried out, Very disappointed won't be going again

I visited Marklews yesterday just to get a chip butty, never again they charged me £3.80 for a CHIP BUTTY, at my local chip shop (Pips) I can get fish and chips for £3.85, and it's a lot better, what a rip-off.

I have visited Marklews Fisheries on many occasions over the years, and have found on my the service and quality to be exceptional.I need to say it has been a while since i have visited Mafklews Fisheries but on this occasion the service i recieved from the young man was no interaction with the customer no thank you .when i got home with my fish and chips with my family and biting into my fish batter i found it verry stoddgy and undercooked batter.I also notice that Marklews Fisherues had slipped on hygiene standards becuause the interiour of the establishment;s walls wer'e in need of a good clean.the stainless steel serevice counter was indeed of in need of a good cleanI was reall disapointed with my visit to Marklews today

Not impressed if I'm honest for the price. Chips were under cooked and like warm. The fish itself was nice but the batter had to be taken off because it was soggy and under cooked.... Never been here before and won't return in a hurry....

The worst fish and chips I have ever had locally. The fish had more batter than fish. Soggy and wet. Well if you can call them chips they were very scrappy no whole chip, and.l.little bits of potatoes with lots of bad bits on. The so called mushy peas, discusting, no taste just a lump of green pea. Terrible looking fish in counter, asked for some skinned large haddock and what we got was in edible. It resembled something from I'm a celebrity get me out of here! Complained upon leaving to the very nice but unable to help assisted by a grunt and a shrug from the miserable brother. What a nice helpful man the Dad was, ok great greeting, fantastic food and brilliant service. Those were the days hey.
