Nice ambience and decorations. Prompt service. Good cuppa and lovely carrot cake. Excellent - as good as Betty's.

Really disappointing visit. Service was very poor and our server was very rude and dismissive when we asked a question about it they served any gluten free cakesNo high chairs were available and we hadn’t pre booked although we did try but we were told that they couldn’t fit 10 people in. Anyhow we went on the off chance and we could get inUnsure why they had no baby changing facilities and I had to change my one year old grandson laid on my coat on the toilet floor!Unsure what has happened with the service as this was so different to the numerous times we have visited before although we were child free on these visitsThe server at the neighbouring table was so different and so helpful so this is not everyoneMust admit when we entered the premises we were told very firmly that you can’t bring that pushchair in here and had to shut it down straight away - not got an issue with putting the pushchair down but the way we were told

Went to Marples this afternoon for first time after promising ourselves to go in for many years and what a lovely dining experience ,the ladies are wonderful and really friendly not waiting long at all for drinks and food to be prepared. When our platters came we were amazed how much food was on them and the presentation was great. All homemade and extremely fresh could not believe the prices ,so reasonable, everyone's food looked very tasty on all the tables will definitely be back.If I could give 10 stars out of 10 I would.Well done ladies, your hard work and beutiful food is very appreciated.

Popped in here on the off chance, what a friendly place. Great surroundings and very friendly and helpful staff. Ordered 2 full breakfasts with a couple of adjustments to mine and to be honest one of the best breakfasts I have had, and we have been to a lot of places far and wide , highly recommend this restaurant

Ordered 2 full breakfasts and 1 Maple pancakes with berries , portion size on the breakfasts could have been a little bit bigger for full satisfaction especially after the other half added stuff on as extras to his breakfast but overall was very tasty and not oily like a lot of breakfasts. The pancakes was ordered for our 2 year old daughter but I did try them myself, they was very fluffy and beautifully sweet.

Delightful traditional tea rooms and more... We went for the afternoon tea (3 tier platter) which was everything you would expect and all delicious, especially the lemon meringue cheesecake - the best we've ever experienced and all expertly freshly made in-house. We were also well looked after by Karen and Anya throughout.

Popped in here after a walk along the sea front.Incredibly friendly staff that were helpful with the food choice. Large servings of food and drink in a great atmosphere.Highly recommended.
