Everything was good. Only negative was because it's a old hotel the place creaked a lot making it hard to sleep and because the windows were old single glazed I could hear the person nextdoor snoring at night.

A lovely old building but in places needs a little tlc. The room was very spacious with a lovely big bathroom, just missing some hot chocolate sachets on the tea tray. The staff were all very pleasant although l did have a small issue caused with information not being passed on. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

The room was fairly simple, but spotlessly clean and comfortable, as well as fairly spacious. The evening meal was very enjoyable. Not a massive amount of choice on the menu, but I feel that is often a good thing. Easier to decide, and easier to get it right. Good portion sizes and good quality food and drink. The thing that really stuck out though was the staff. From the moment we walked through the door, to the moment we left, the staff were attentive and helpful. Always there when needed, but in a way that wasn't overbearing. The staff are the reason I would have given 6 stars if I was able to. Will definitely return here.

We have stayed at Millfields twice now, the most recent time being. Saturday 19th March. The evening staff are very lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The bar area is beautifully clean with a very well stocked bar.We paid £110 for B&B on Saturday. Our room was large and very clean and quiet. However, the bathroom was not very clean at all. The towels looked clean but they were smelly. The facilities list stated toiletries included - the soap dispensers had only been half filled and were clearly old as the pump tops did not work. The toilet roll had been neatly folded on the opening sheet but there was hardly any toilet roll left on it and there was no more in the room. The cleaner was aware the roll was nearly empty because like I said, the leading sheet was neatly folded. The coffee/ tea facilities in the room were inadequate. There was not enough milk for two people to have two hot drinks and there was only one sachet of hot chocolate; I’d have rather it hadn’t been available if there wasn’t going to be enough provided for both occupants.I realise I could have quite easily asked for more toilet roll and milk etc, but since we paid £110 for the room, I felt that I actually shouldn’t have had to ask, especially for toilet roll. When we stayed a few weeks ago, we enjoyed it so much, we booked a return visit. I’m not sure that last nights visit was worth £110 so possibly won’t be returning.

A super, clean, well-decorated hotel in a beautiful Victorian building. All the staff are welcoming, friendly & kind. Service is professional & excellent. Food is high quality & plentiful. Fab Grimsby fish, chips n mushies. A large car park. Mine was a big bedroom & bathroom. It has a large function room which seems well used, separate dining room. Car electric hookups x2 in the car park. On a very busy road which quietens around midnight. A short walk to People's Park which is a very pleasant Victorian park with a lake & Children's playground. An altogether 5* hotel & staff.

We had Christmas dinner here for around 18 of us and couldn’t be happier with the meal and service! It was such an amazing day. First of all the staff were so kind and attentive going above and beyond to ensure we had a great day and everyone was happy- can appreciate how busy it must have seemed at times but they didn’t put a foot wrong! We were in a private dining room which was great as it allowed the children to run around and have fun too. The food was amazing and plenty of it too, portions were fantastic. If I could rate higher than 5 I would, the whole family loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thanks ever so much to Milfields for making it a Christmas to remember!

We have used the restaurant a number of times and this trip was our first overnight stay. We booked directly with Millfields. The accommodation was good value, clean and comfortable. The evening restaurant and breakfast was a very good standard and we enjoyed our experience. Staff welcoming and attentive. Will stay again.

It's gone downhill in the last few years. The whole building and my room were very tired and the bathroom (and toilet) were unclean. I had food poisoning during my stay and the only thing I ate which my family didn't was their only vegetarian main meal - macaroni cheese - which was barely warm. Lots of this I should have brought up with the management at the time for which I apologise, but it really was poor. A shame, since I had a lovely stay around 2016.

Nice stay, well done on your work staff they were absolutely lovely. Breakfast wasn't so nice as the sourdough bread was very hard and sausages tasted off but apart from that it was nice
