Shahi Mahal Takeaway in North East Lincolnshire

Eaten here many times when staying here, never had a bad meal until last night. Ordered mixed starter for 2, meat was definitely not cooked fresh, onion baji greasey and falling apart. Main no flavor or taste, 4 chapati all under cooked and most of it still raw dough.

The food never fails to make me happy.Always good and tasty.

Hidden gem of an Indian takeaway. Tucked away down a small side street off Louth Road - Grimsby, sits the Shahi Mahal. From the street its understated shop front gives you little indication of the sheer quality and value of this little restaurant. Stepping through the door you're greeted with a compact waiting room with traditional decor and an inviting atmosphere. The staff member on front of house is always smart and friendly as well as being efficient with the ordering process. We order a set meal for one and it easily feeds two adults with left overs. All the curries are piping hot and delicious. The set meal for one comes with one main, a side of bombay alloo (potatoes), rice, naan and a poppadoms plus dip. Definitely worth a visit if you live in the area.

No one makes Indian food as good as this in Grimsby. I’ve tried them all and shahi mahal is the best. I had the chicken sana special that has a mango chutney flavour which is perfect for people are more interested in good flavour rather than hot and spicy dishes. If you’re one of those people that fancy an Indian but have no idea what it is you fancy, trust me it’s this. Staff all friendly and helpful, I didn’t know what to have but Ray recommend the sana special and it’s my new favourite dish. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. ❤️❤️❤️

As always, I really enjoyed my food from here, good food, friendly place, food really in reasonable time, and not especially expensive either.... What's not to like?

Absolutely lovely place... Staff are very welcoming and polite. Food is fantastic...id never eaten here before and have been dissapointed with alot of the takeaways in the area... Drove past this place saw it by accident... Had asked around and heard it was good so had to try it for myself! Wasn't dissapointed! Food is lovely... Reasonably priced fast service.. Very happy will return!

Very disappointed in my meal from tonight, lacked flavour and the prawns were small. Considering this was ordered as one of the specialities it left alot to be desired.The mango chutney had more flavour to it than my dish.Not sure we will travel so far in future for a takeaway.
