The nicest meals I have ever had. Never had a bad meal just one of the nicest places to eat around Lincolnshire. 100% recommend

We previously visited for lunch early February and had a lovely meal, excellent food and tasty beers. We returned on the 15 March. The service was still excellent but the food was really disappointing, vegetables blitzed to a soft mush, steak pie with meat that had dried out at the edge and finally hand pulled beers that did not include a ruby ale. Such a shame after a really good first experience.

Four of us went to The Swallow Inn for lunch on Sunday 20 March 2022, and at first were impressed with the friendly welcome and decor. However, this soon turned to disappointment. We ordered starters and main courses (turkey and slow cooked pork loin), but were informed shortly afterwards that there was no stuffing. (Seriously? How can a modern kitchen fail to have sufficient stuffing!) Whilst most of the waiting staff were friendly and professional, when told that turkey without stuffing was not ok, the person who informed us of the issue simply walked away, failing to make any apology or offer any alternative. The four main courses were bland, overcooked (almost burnt Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes that had clearly been sat far too long), the vegetables were all in one pot and again over cooked, other than the carrots, which were very al dente to say the least! There was nothing resembling slow cooked pork loin, nor turkey carved from a freshly cooked bird - and despite being described by the establishment as "succulent", all the meat was dry and tasteless. Finally, every plate was swimming in excessively runny, and again tasteless, gravy. We told the staff we were disappointed when paying, and whilst the girl who dealt with the bill was lovely and apologetic, we do not intend returning.

Excellent food and Beer at a very reasonable price, New owners are very welcoming and deserve to do will. Good to see The Swallow is back in good hands. Lovely varied menu to suit everyone's palette.

Booked a table here for 2 . When arrived was greeted by a young member of staff with what would you like. . Not good evening have you a table booked .Was then showed to our table and got our drinks . Sat and waited for around 15 / 20 mins before my wife got up and approached the bar to order our meal as it took so long for a waitress to take our order .Can't fault the drinks or food quality but the waiting staff are young and I'm guessing still on a learning curve .If I was to fault the evening it would be dim the lighting a Bit more as to bright for a nice meal out with the spouce and be more attentative with the service..

Great to see this pub back up and running. The food was absolutely delicious and good variety on the menu with specials too. It has been given a lovely make over and was very busy on a Thursday lunchtime. I will be going again.

Thanks to Nick and his team for yet another lovely meal. Also thank you for spoiling Molly (the Border Terrier), it is so nice that dogs are welcome and given treats and water. I cannot recommend The Swallow Inn enough. Bar and restaurant are laid out lovely. Food is gorgeous. Please keep up the good work, see you soon.

Booked an evening meal for 9, Nick and the team were very accommodating, and provided a warm and welcoming experience. The food was off the scale good, everyone enjoyed their 3 courses, and the creme brulee was the best I've had πŸ˜‰. The food was served with perfect timing, all freshly cooked - delicious! Thank you, cannot wait to come again xx

Just popped into the swallow pub for a drink and cake. Great customer service with a smile. They couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning πŸ’•

Lovely, lovely Sunday lunch at The Swallow, Swallow, Lincs..... Best beef I have had in years. Under new ownership (just 6 weeks) and already doing a lot of work to clean and decorate.... With the standard of food, friendly landlord, cracking team of staff. This place is definitely a place to come back to...
