This is a lovely little place for a bite to eat. The cafe is part of a larger community centre so you'll be forgiven for thinking you have gone into a library. Aside from that it is a very nice relaxing place to meet.We used to visit often when our children were smaller as it is very family friendly with plenty of high chairs and has good baby change facilities.Food is good and reasonably priced and the portions are on the larger side. My partner had a toastie and side salad and it was huge even for him. I had a cream tea which again was huge. I ended up sharing my scone because I couldn't eat it all. There is free parking opposite. And if that is full there is usually parking on a nearby street available.

Great little tea room with a good choice of food and drink. They even do alcohol now, it has a library also next to it and a few stands for some locally produced products on sale. Always very welcoming and looking to go that extra mile for their customers.

A big thank you to all the staff. We took some of our residents for afternoon tea. It was lovely the staff were superb and nothing was to much trouble. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed it. We all left with cake boxes as we did not have enough room to eat it all... will be going again

Used to be a wonderful little cake stop, can't help but feel a little underwhelmed today. Visited with my grandma at her request (we've been before and she loved it). There was a sign informing us that there would be no food available between 1-2pm, fair enough. We arrived at 12.30 and the waitress was happy to assist us. She took our order and it arrived quickly. We had lattes but they were very milky and I'm not sure there was much coffee in there. I ordered a jacket potato with brie and cranberry. The potato was well cooked and there was plenty of filling, though it might have been nice to have the brie warm , instead of cold from the fridge.Grandma had a cheese scone which came with cream and jam. This was a bit confusing (does anyone have cream and jam with cheese?!) but apparently it didn't taste of cheese anyway, so the cream was quickly slathered on.Our waitress was lovely but it was a little disappointing to hear some other staff moaning about the larger table that was due later on. One waitress was clearly not looking forward to the party and almost resented the table arriving. She definitely didn't love her job.Not bad, but a few tweaks would make it much better.

I hadn't been since its latest refurbishment. Very nice, felt secure, plenty of space between tables. Caused some havoc when I went to the wedding. Its for the disabled too. My friend had said the toilet flush was on the side and I patted everything and in the end pulled the cord which of course set an alarm going. The flush is on the side of the toilet!! I'll definitely be going again, friendly staff. Might need to take a cushion, the seats were a bit hard.
