If I could give minus stars I absolutely would. The most incredibly rude staff member I’ve ever witnessed in my life. I didn’t want to sit on a table nearer the front door due to it looking like it’s been feeding time at the zoo with quavers and skittles mashed up into the floor. If the waiter had spent more time cleaning the floor than only merely wiping a table down in the most half arsed manner it might have been a better experience. Anyway, I wanted to sit on a taller table nearer the bar because it was quieter and assumed to be cleaner. A waiter was cleaning the further table so we wanted to sit at the one in the middle of the 3 taller tables. He said to us “you can see the tables dirty you’ll have to wait” - I was in awe, totally discombobulated of the poor mannered walrus, I’d never had someone speak to me in this tone… with this my face dropped. He said “you can see the tables dirty so don’t roll your eyes at me” in a even worse tone. While he squirted his spray at the table, my friends hoodie was also sprayed while attempting to wipe the table. I am autistic… so I will never return to this establishment again.

Went in was served quickly. When everything arrived however, there were items missing this was sorted quickly. Burgers tasted bland particularly the beef burgers, loaded fries were definitely not worth ÂŁ7 very overpriced. Would not recommend if looking for good food will not be returning anytime soon. Staff however, were very pleasant.

1 star is too generous for this review. Ordered food waited 40 minutes and they hadn't even started cooking it. No soap in the toilets, had to ask them to wipe the table clean.... Shocking

Phoned to book a table for a group of 6 for drinks, but were told tables can only be booked if we are having food. Decided we would also have food and booked a table for 13.1.2022 for 7:15pm . Half of the group arrived at 7:15 and ordered drinks. the other half arrived around 7:40. After the second group also ordered drinks and decided what to eat, two of us went to the bar shortly before 8pm to order food, only to be told that the kitchen had closed at 7:45 and that the chef had repeatedly given the guy taking our order the "look" not to take the order. As we had been told we could only book a table if we were having food, and the staff were aware we had arrived, we asked why wasn't we told when the kitchen would be closing and to order straight away. Daisy, the extremely unprofessional bar manager on duty that night just looked at us, was extremely abrupt and started to rudely raise her voice to tell us it wasn't their job to let us know what time the kitchen closes. She questioned why we had just been sitting there laughing and joking instead of ordering our food. We had in fact been looking at the menu and deciding what to eat.We again made her aware that we were told we could only book a table for food, which we did, but we wasn't aware what time the kitchen would close as this wasn't communicated to us when booking the table or upon arrival, despite the staff being aware that we would be ordering food. She continued to raise her voice and spoke with an attitude saying it wasn't her problem, told us to go away and walked away to the end of the bar whilst we were still speaking to her. We approached her again and asked if we could speak to the manager as we wasn't happy with the way she was speaking and shouting. She told us she was the manager and that she wasn't interested in listening to anything we had to say. We were shocked and absolutely gobsmacked by the way we were treatment. Informed her that we in fact worked in the hospitality business working as managers and wouldn't dream of talking to customers the way she had. We returned to our table to decide what to do or where to go for food. Once at the table, was told by a member of the group that Daisy had also made rude hand gestures behind our back whilst we were waking away from her. Minutes later, a member of the group went up to order another drink at the bar where she was greeted with an attitude and rudely spoken to by Daisy. When she commented to Daisy that her customer service skills were appalling, Daisy responded with, "well I won't serve you at all then you f*****g little b*tch. You need to get out."Looking at others' reviews, it appears this is typical customer service treatment there.Being sworn at by a member of staff, in particular management, is absolutely shocking, disgusting and unforgivable behaviour. As a group we shall not be returning to such an unprofessional establishment which is run by extremely rude "management" with a lack of experience. Will also ensure others are warned to stay away.

I was going to order two meals and cocktails along with beer and wine but ended up just ordering the beer and wine due to the sheer rudeness of the young miserable madam who served me. What sealed my decision to never return was the equally miserable bar owner who walked passed us coughing his guts up. I sat down and looked around, not one person was eating and two chefs were stood staring out doing nothing, little wonder, I'm just surprised it manages to stay open. We ended up going to the Counting House in which we were served by a lovely young man and all in a wonderful atmosphere, it's world's apart to this dull uninviting establishment.
