I didn't know this place existed! Went for a coffee with a friend who suggested we went here. I only had a drink, but will definitely go back and have a breakfast - they looked amazing.

Reopened on Friday 13th of September 2019 with new owners, a new table layout and a new menu. All the tables are large and accommodate 4 persons and are wheelchair friendly. The place itself is more condensed than previously and appears to be well staffed, clean and tidy. The menu features the usual all day breakfasts and breakfast buns, some main meals and a specials board which included lasagna, meat Pie and a curry on it's first day. They also offer a selection of freshly made sandwiches and baguettes, desserts and have children's menu. The food seems very reasonably priced with a main meal being offered for under £4.00.Table service is provided and card payments are accepted here.Being situated on the market it has access to the markets facilities which include ATMS and restrooms which are free, well maintained and include good disabled facilities. They have a 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ food hygiene rating.Food review Sept 2019.My first meal here after the recent change of owners, I opted for sausage and mashed potatoes from their daily specials board.Good quality butcher sourced sausage, very tasty served with some fried onions, a good portion of mashed potatoes, fresh carrots and peas accompanied by some tasty gravy. A very reasonable meal well prepared and presented and very reasonably priced at £3.95.Good friendly staff and table service.Food review November 2019.Paid another visit here today, I opted for the Cottage Pie selected from their specials board, the portion size of the pie was reasonable and had a good tastyfilling and came accompanied with some extra mashed potatoes, fresh carrots, fresh Savoy cabbage and a tasty gravy. A decent traditional style meal.I paid £5.15 for my meal and a mug of tea.Food review January 2020.I paid another visit here today, I chose the minced beef and onion pie, my meal arrived after a short wait, a good sized portion of pie arrived accompanied by some mashed potatoes, fresh carrots, cabbage and a boat of gravy. The flaky pastry pie crust was a little soft but still tasty, I found the filling very flavorful with a good meaty taste and a good amount of onion flavour.I paid £5.15 for my meal and a mug of tea.Food review March 2020.I ate here again today, on this occasion I chose roast pork from their specials board.A good plate of food arrived after a short while, a good sized portion of tender roasted pork accompanied by a great selection of fresh vegetables, the 🌟 crowning glory for me was a large freshly made Yorkshire pudding, crispy and delicious,a very good quality traditional meal. I paid £4.95 for my meal and a further 90p for a mug of tea.Update November 2021.There's been a small increase in prices, main meals are now £5.20 but include a free tea or coffee. 😊Update February 2022.I tried a Belly Buster breakfast here today, it wasn't first time that I have had a breakfast since it's ownership changed 3 year's ago,I added a couple of hash browns, very pleased with the plate of food that arrived, ticked all the boxes in terms of quantity, quality and value for money. 👌I paid £6.00 for my meal which included a mug of tea.Update April 2022.Main meals are now £5.50.

I had scrambled egg on toast, it tastes like dried egg mix, no taste and quite liquid,, the bread was like duck bread ( value bread from tesco),, never again they did not do fruit tea (cheap enough to buy)
