We arrived at 13:15 and mains landed on the table around 15:00. After an extraordinary long wait we received our starters which I can only describe as burnt. The coating on the chicken strips was crunchy and the sauce was lacking. Did you know a single portion gets the same amount of sauce as a triple? Alas we powered through to receive our mains well over an hour later. The steak on the mixed grill was more like a biscuit. It was wafer thin and charcoal. The vegan lasagna clearly spent too long in the microwave and was burnt and stuck to the bowl around the edges. The wrong meal was delivered for my son too. We ordered simply pasta and ended up with turkey minced pasta - good job we wasn't the vegans on the table, right? Positives.. drinks were nice?

Its ok. Loads missing from the menu and portion sizes are small compared to other places in the area. The staff are great but there's not enough of them so they're running around frantically. This also causes long wait times at the bar and for food.

Popped in for tea this evening with my husband and sister. Lovely easy access for disabled parking which we need. Plenty of places to sit, all the tables were clear and clean and the whole pub was really welcoming. The 3 staff in uniform never stopped- serving, cleaning, clearing plates- they are an absolute credit to the team. Our food came quickly and was hot and fresh- 2 steaks really well cooked. Very enjoyable!Love the addition of the pool table and wish we’d had more time to have a game this evening- we definitely will next time!My only grumble is that we were sat quite close to a table of 2 chaps who I assume to be regulars, who were chatting to a member of staff. I assume she was a manager as she wasn’t in the uniform of the other staff. She was complaining about the changes made to the pub- belittling the addition of the pool table and, in her words “give it 6 months and it’ll be gone and we will be back to normal”. It’s such a shame that a member of management seemingly doesn’t want the pub to be successful. In the hour we spent in the pub tonight, she did not step foot behind the bar once, and was instead gossiping with these 2 guys the whole time. I got the distinct impression she was unhappy in her work and didn’t want to be there which is a shame.

Called in at teatime on Thursday. It was fairly busy but was able to find a table. Meals been served looked lovely so I decided to eat. I ordered a rump steak which turned out to be one of the best I have ever had comparable to much more expensive pub chains. The staff were very attentive and there was a really good atmosphere. I have not been in the Grosvenor for a while and was plesently surprised to see a newly installed Pool table, a great addition. I will definitely be visiting again very soon.

Really pleased to see the place is heading back to its roots. The new landlady has reintroduced a pool table which is a great move and good to see back in place. After talking to her in the week and listening to plans for pool team leagues and a Grosvenor football team returning I have high hopes that this will see a return to The Grosvenor of old. Food here is great but for those of us that like to have a drink it's nice to see an understanding of what us drinkers like too. Be good to see football being shown again and a bit of live music too 👍 Keep up the good work.

There was plenty of space to park and the staff was so lovely!!Kelly and Lynz were so great and really made me and my family feel happy to be there. The pool table was really good aswell, me and my friends have had a lot of fun with it and it's so clean.Definitely gonna come here regularly

Always a friendly welcome here. Beers are usually good. Only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars were various bits not available on the menu. What we had was cooked to perfection. Worth a visit x

Just popped in.. what luckily chance, we ordered food and had the best meals we have had in the area for a long time... plus good service and great dessert. We where asked 3 times if everything was OK ... now that's good service and we will definitely go straight there next time we are in town.

Came here on Saturday night for a meal with my mum. We both had the festive sizzler which was great. The staff we're excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Excellent team led by their Yorkie manager. Will definitely be back there for a meal next time I'm visiting my mum.

Great value for money.Setting up a tab wasn't a problem, then we ordered at the bar. All food was served in a timely mannerStarters 3 for 10 quid were very well cooked, we especially enjoyed the breaded halloumi fries, just a bit different to elsewhere.Mains, the Steak and Doom bar Pie was excellent, and pleasing to see freshly cooked peas unlike our local Flaming Grill. The Mega Mixed Grill was very good, outstanding with the Steak cooked to perfection, my only caveat was the rather inferior quality of the sausages, but they were properly grilled, lovely crispy sweet potato fries.I do love a Sundae, the milky bar one here is super. Many many thanks to the Kitchen team for memorably excellent food quality.Highly Recommended, much better value and better cooking than last time in went to a Miller and Carter.
