Nice pub shame it's limited opening times and days, a nice country pub is needed here. Could be much nicer it has the potential

Wonderful food served at just the right temperature... Excellent service and very well maintained bar with quality beer available... Look forward to going back a lot more regularly

We have only just discovered the Mill House, right before lock down where we had my daughters wedding reception (13 people). Sally who runs the place is the most positive and helpful person I have met for a long time. The food, atmosphere and service were all five star. During lock down they are doing takeaway with an extensive menu. The fish and chips were my favourite.

service was slow, ingredients missing from dishes, too few vegetables and I realised when I got home that I was overcharged by three alcoholic drinks that had not been ordered. however the food that we ate was very good Indeed, so hence the three stars.

Being new to the area, my partner and I had heard good things about The Mill House. We have been several times now, including bringing our friends, and have not been disappointed. The staff are very friendly , the atmosphere welcoming, the decor lovely (I particularly love the wallpaper!) and above all the food was lovely!

My group meet up and go out for a meal every 12 weeks. I am disabled and have to use a power chair. We always ring the venue to make sure it's disabled friendly... We were told the Mill House was. This was the only reason I give it 3 stars not five. The restaurant was lovely. The food was great and the staff were fabulous.. but it was not disabled friendly. To enter the building there is a very high step and a concrete ramp presumably for wheelchairs....the ramp is of such a high incline no chair could get up it. Then the door sill was very high too. Luckily I can stand for a minute or two. I had to use the step, with difficulty, while my friends had to manhandle my chair up the ramp and over the door sill. A charming tall gent came out to help when he saw us struggling. I thought he was the owner and proceeded to explain how disabled unfriendly the entrance was....ad he could see. Turns out he was just a patron at the bar when he saw us and came to help. Wonderful chap. Once inside everything was fine for my chair. Couldn't find a disabled toilet tho :-(. If this gorgeous building had been disabled friendly it would have 5* but as it isn't in afraid I can only give it 3*.

We have been for a meal twice previously which was exceptional hence us coming back on Christmas eve with the family. We came and took our coats off and within a few minutes having to put them back on and was so cold. Had a starter each which was lovely except being served stale bread to which we told the staff. Then having our mains which the two of Turkey dishes had to be sent back as they were cold and a steak dish which was just fat very little meat so ended up a poor expensive night although we was re embersed with the steak dish

Rang at lunchtime Saturday. ...although they were very busy, managed to fit us in at 8.30pm.Arrived about 20 mins before our booking, time for a drink and a peruse of the mouth watering menu...spoilt for choice. Our order was taken and we were shown to our table....The food was to die for and the service was best, very polite and smiley.Would definitely recommend...fabulous food, in a friendly atmosphere in a stunning location.Thank youJulie x
