The trawlerman in North East Lincolnshire

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was nice. Not too busy. We had the carvery both my husband and I really enjoyed it. Good choice of meat and veg. Would recommend.

Great until they brought the food!We ordered 2 mixed grills, when they arrived they had forgotten the fried eggs.While waiting for the eggs to arrive we cut into our steaks, they were supposed to be medium rare.They were more like we'll done.When the eggs turned up, I showed them to the server who said, "are they bad, I've never seen a medium rare steak, so don't know what they are supposed to look like"Nobody came to see us, and we left with a bagful of meat for our dogs.We wish we had both had the carvery, and saved a lot of money.

Fantastic and tasty carvery food for everyone. My daughter is vegetarian and her cauliflower tart was delicious. Plenty of fresh veg and a great choice of meats, and accompaniments. Will definitely return soon. Staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful. 10/10 from us. Thank you for a wonderful lunch.

Went here to try the all you can eat breakfast. A friendly face greeted us on arrival, we paid and were told we could choose any table that we wanted. A help yourself buffet with everything you could want with your full English. All items were cooked to perfection and not swimming in grease like others in the area that we have been to. A great selection available, as much or as little as you require, croissants, tea and coffee, toast and preserves to compliment an impressive breakfast. Highly recommended, give it a try. 5*

The meal was very good. We had the carvery plenty of meat and vegetables. We would definitely recommend it to our friends and family. We will be definitely come again. The staff were very friendly and had very good communication skills and they couldn't do enough for us. Well done everyone

We have been coming here for carvery for years now and we always enjoy our food. It's our kids favourite place to eat out. Our youngest prefers to have mini waffles and chicken dippers but doesn't like peas or beans, she asks for cucumber instead which the staff are always more than happy to do. The cakes are amazing too. The staff are always happy and helpful, they make it feel really welcoming.

Ordered drinks and a carvery for 2. At no point was we told that the carvery was about to close due in 5 minutes. Only when we went up for our food did we discover there was next to no food left and what was left was so dry it was inedible. We ended up getting a refund from the manager and went elsewhere. I appreciate that there has to be an end time but this place closes as and when it sees fit depending on how many people are in.

Went for a visit today and must say I was impressed, this is the first time I've visited The Trawlerman and it was great. Rather than a typical carvery I went for a cowboy burger, this arrived very quickly and tasted really good. I was with 2 people who both got a carvery and said it was really nice. What made it for us was the unlimited drink refills. I'll be returning again.

Hi thanks for looking not professional complainer just wanted a nice tea we were hungry food wasn't that hot the beef was only fit to sole shoes with my dog will get for tea tomorrow nicely ask for manager chap said he was one of them would pass message on for warned is for armed , could not even pull it apart.

Having chosen to eat here for a birthday lunch from previous reviews. We can honestly say that the 2 hour drive was well worth the effort.The carvery was absolutely delicious, the meats so tender the carver actually apologised for the joints not slicing as you would traditionally expect. The vegetables were hot and as we ate quite late at 2.30 not at all dry as can happen.The staff and service was efficient but also very friendly and welcoming.Beware the chocolate indulgence dessert in the nicest way. it is super indulgentWill most definitely be returning
