The Wellow in North East Lincolnshire

Food was good but 2 problems with service.Largest was my 4 year olds child's meal was served on a scalding hot plate and the waitress offered no warning. If I hadn't taken it from her first we would have had no idea it was hot until my child potentially burned their hand!Other was just no knife and fork provided with chicken club 'sandwich', it's a huge baguette with side salad. No way that's being eaten by hand.

Good food at reasonable prices. Extremely polite staff who couldn't do enough for us even though they were busy. Drinks came spot on and fairly quick the server Jack was really chatty and friendly. Highly recommended.

Really welcoming and tasty meal after a long day. Service brilliant and this place is lovely and clean. I had peppered steak (sizzling dish) medium rare which was perfect. Then greedy me had a chocolate fudge cake with ice cream 😋.

Popped in before the game on Saturday for a bite and a couple of pints. the food was lovely and the staff super friendly. had a good chat to the manager about the football. think i will make this my regular stop for before the Grimsby games.

Great pub, with many friendly staff and Low prices. The pub itself is quite big with lots of seating available inside and out. The service is usually really quick with an app you can use to order which is so easy to use and set up. As for the food this is great with many great options available, recently (end of 2021) there have been a few food shortages some items have been unavailable on the menu. The pub also offers a hotel which I haven't used personally.

Turkey and Tinsel afternoon absolutely brilliant. I would recommend the Wellow for both meals and entertainment. Staff cheerful and helpful.

Lovely friendly efficient staff. Environment a little tired. Food OK typical chain menu and standard of food. (Oil in the fryer could do with a change!) It's fine if you're looking for a cheap and cheerful meal out.

I have to say my experience at the Wellow was very poor, the chicken that was on my plate was full of water the sausages wasn't very nice, the gammon and the rest was spot on all though I wasn't very well later on that night and through out the next day. My partner enjoyed her wraps but my 18 month old didn't like hers, the mash was rock hard in parts and she wasn't too keen on the fryed fish fingers, I'd say the best part of my experience was the pint of Guinness not many places can do a decent pint. Also the staff where very helpful and always happy to help.
