Never again. Over an hour waiting for food. It wasnt busy at all. I suppose we now know why. Then only brought one meal out at a time, we had to then wait a further 10 minutes for the second meal to be brought out. Chips were not even luke warm. Service was basically non existent. To top it off no explanation on why the food was so long or apology for it taking so long.

Went to the pre open night food was good ordered off the main menu to try one of the new meals so didn't have the carvery, it looks very nice inside and outside, the outside has had a lot of work done and its somewhere you can use now, its 100% better

I took my daughter for TEA tonight, we ordered our food on the app at 18:38 our starter arrived in reasonable time around 7/7:15 but our mains we were still waiting for at 9pm? Yes 9pm almost 2 hours later!! People being served that arrived long after we did and the table next to us experienced the same too!! After 3 alcoholic drinks served to us without question they decided to ID my daughter at 8:45pm after we complained and they offered a free drink, she’s 19 and had no ID on her just her phone!! I’m absolutely amazed at the cheek!! Her food came eventually I cancelled mine I was past eating at this point, I’m more than disappointed to say the least. I won’t be revisiting soon after this experience it was a total unorganised mess!

First class food really enjoyed the food and hospitality. The carvery was great.

Went for a family meal, decided on carvery , stuffing was A massive lump in a dish, hard to get out of the dish. Vegetables were hard. Roast potato’s tasted like frozen ones you buy at the supermarket.we have not been for over 2 years & can honestly say it has gone down hill.

Went to Ashby Lodge for lunch with the wife. Got our drinks and went and sat at table. Tried to order on the app on wife's phone. When it came to pay the app wouldn't work. Downloaded the app on my phone, still wouldn't work. Even walked outside for a better signal, still no joy. Went to the bar and ordered 2 chicken tikka masala. Had to wait 40 minutes for meal to arrive and to be honest it wasn't that special, and not very hot either. Had a look at the reviews on their site and the carvery seems to be quite nice. But don't think we will be back. And try and avoid the toilets, glad I had a face mask in my pocket. One good thing, the staff were very nice.

Good value for money.Had the medium carvery, plenty of choice of vegetables and 3 meats, also a vegetarian option, afterwards felt like I should have chosen the small plate.Friendly helpful staff. Will visit again when in the area.Would be nice if you could park overnight in the car park in a self contained motorhome, after having a meal.

I've been a few Sundays for the carvery. The food is fabulous and the staff are extremely friendly. I also think it is amazing how the staff are towards the older generation. They actually take time to have a chat with them. It could possibly the only time they get out in a week and the staff go above and beyond making their day out. It's lovely to see it's not just 1 in and 1 out

We booked a Christmas carvery, upon arrival we were given a table that was not suitable due to been upstairs and a diner had mobility issues, we were moved to a more suitable table and given a round of drinks for free. Our group was made up of adults, teenagers and children. The meals were prebooked and all arrived hot and of good quality. The carvery was excellent the meat was moist and the vegetables were exquisite, roast potatoes were excellent too. They even catered for one of our party who was gluten free and when the chef served thus one he washed his hands beforehand and took a plate from the middle of the pile as to not contaminate the meal. In all we had a great meal and a family evening out.

Loved it after 2 disappointing vists to 2 other pubs we landed on this gold mine carvey till opm on week days !!!! Best menu idea ever! We didn't have to sit and wait for any one to serve us drinks of cone take out orders we simply went to the bar asked for carvery and sat back down to eat it was the best meat was gorgeous but can also say I'd happily pay for a no meat carvery if wanting to have a cheaper meal it's a great option 😋 the menu we looked at looked amazing and there is some must try but tonight was all about filling up that empty tummy and that's exactly what the carvery did 💯%
