Nice little pub & a good pint of Old Speckled Hen

Always very friendly and welcoming.

This place has had a revamp since i last visited...very well decorated as with a chic bistro feel.New style menu ...good variety.Service was quick and nicely presented.Good selection of beers and even a gin bar.Will definitely go again sometime.

Took a while to get served and it was empty but think they might have been changing a barrel or something. Nice place and a nice pint with a good selection. Think they also do food but I didn't have any, nice friendly atmosphere with some suspect characters in tracksuit bottoms but didn't cause any issues. Worth a visit if you are passing.

Front of house staff lovely, couldn't do enough. Nice clean pub with a good selection of drinks. The food however let's this place down. I had the New York chicken which was pretty bland with soggy, greesy brown chips, a shallow bowl with the chicken and a lot of water in it from the chicken and bacon which suggests to me was microwaved to warm up. My partner had bangers n mash where the veg tasted pretty awful. A shame as everything else was lovely, but wouldn't come back for food.

Love the refurbishment, same brilliant service we've always received. Always proud to take visitors in there and call it our local, and everyone I've ever taken in there has always said they want to go again next time they're down this way! Thank you for making our large party feel so welcome.

This is the first time we have visited The Butchers in a long while and what a pleasant surprise .The decor and atmosphere was lovely. The Sunday Roast of Gammon veg and potato was delicious followed by Apple crumble and custard .My eyes being bigger than my stomach!!! Would recomend anyone to visit

Called here for lunch, chose the £8.95 two course special, the portions were of a reasonable size, nicely presented and greeted/served by a very friendly lady. Good basic pub grub....which is good to see. Would go back and would recommend.
