Called in for drinks, following a recommendation. Quite busy with diners. Looks worth a try by the food seen going out. All plates going back were empty and heard lots of compliments. Will certainly try come springtime.

Excellent food, clean & comfortable room with ensuite & friendly staff that couldn't be more helpful. Couldn't fault anything and will happily book here again. Fantastic service from start to finish.

My partner and I visited the George and our table was waiting for us. Staff were lovely and friendly. Place was busy and welcoming. I had the hanger steak with hand cut chips. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chips were good. My partner had the 3 way pork, however only 2 came, and no apple dumplings. However what he did have was very tasty, the belly pork was fabulous and the pork scotch egg whilst very tasty but missed the apple. This said we would have no hesitation on returning and definitely recommend.

Found this hotel online whilst looking for accommodation for an event nearby, and judged our decision through price and location - the price was the lowest we could find but the experience was top notch. The rooms were clean and comfy and the food was second to none. The pie was honestly the best I've had at a pub. Great food at a great price in a well set out room- couldn't ask for more really!

Booked here by mistake after getting mixed up with another George ..I'm pretty dozy . But glad we did as it's lovely : Landlord & staff are friendly, rooms are clean and simply decorated , bar is nicely done with old furniture and a fire , restaurant is cosy .We were told this place is all about the food by the landlord and he's not wrong : had a great meal inc. some fancy scallops followed by the best pie and gravy I've had in ages (see photo). Finally coffee with fantastic chocolates from the shop in the village.Breakfast was really good quality too with a massive pot of tea .What a great place . Loved the style , the welcome and the food . Beer was good too !

Super fluffy towels! When we arrived we were met with a smile and the young lady showed us promptly to our rooms.Had the great pleasure to stay here for one night on business. The food was fantastic, cooked perfectly and homemade and the hotel room was clean and fresh with a comfortable bed and super fluffy towels.Only gripe was my room backed onto the courtyard and it being a Friday night with unusually warm weather, it was a little noisy.Would recommend this hotel

Fantastic little place about 30 minute drive from the Lincoln city centre. We'll kept rooms with most modern amenities, providing shower gel and body wash if forgotten.Bed was on the softer side, but still comfortable and surrounding area is quite quiet.Breakfast was amazing, mixture of cereals, cold and hot drinks and food to order, I had bacon eggs and toasts and was a hearty portion, cooked to high standard.Clearly a lot of attention to detail with The George. If I was looking to visit Lincoln for the day/weekend, would strongly recommend booking.

Birthday meal on a busy Friday night. Function going on in the bar which we had been informed about. Restaurant also busy but we were not left waiting at any point during the evening. Food was amazing but we were not prepared for the large portions. Starter and main were enough, sadly no room for dessert. Excellent evening. Well done to all staff.

The food and the service are first class. Had a very enjoyable meal here, good sized portions so I hope you have a good appetite because you will not want to leave any of it. Will definitely go again
