Fantastic food. Just been there for a surprise 40th birthday for my daughter. I wanted somewhere that accommodate a party of 21 including a lady in a wheelchair. The owners and staff where brilliant. Everything was smooth and organised. We all had an amazing time. I would definitely recommend The Sloop. Beverley

Visiting Brother in Barton he took us here, had roast beef Sunday lunch it was absolutely lovely followed by fruit crumble also delicious. Husband had steak pie followed by malteser cheesecake he also said they were both lovely.

Food is reasonably ok. The family enjoyed there meals however I had the steak in ale pie and ordered extra gravy that did not arrive and the vinegar looks bleached and had something white floating in it and was cloudy in all 3 bottles that they brought us. The steak pie was also dry. The pub itself has had a facelift and lost most of its character. Sad to say it’s not the same and neither are the standards. All in all while the staff are polite and the food is ok, the menu is limited and slightly overpriced for what you actually receive and whatever you do avoid the vinegar. Take a bottle of sarsons with you.

We moved to West Ella in East Riding back in September. We are enjoying finding new places to go. Anyway we found this pub after visiting the nearby Humber Bridge viewing area. From the outside it does not look much. Went in the first time just for a drink. Very pleasantly surprised. Nice selection of drinks, lovely staff and it was busy. We returned a few weeks later having booked a table to eat. All fresh home cooked food which was very tasty and decent. Plenty choice, main menu, specials menu, vegetarian menu and children's menu give enough choice for all tastes. Will be returning again

I've visited twice recently with family, for Sunday lunch, and had excellent service and food each time! Really freshly cooked, great menu, good choice for vegetarians and all-round positive experience.

This is a little gem that has been refurbished beautifully, the staff are very attentive, friendly & professional. The food was really tasty with great portions, I had small fish & chips & it was more than enough.I would recommend trying it out 👌

Fantastic hand pull beer. And great fish and chips. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Outside seating is bland and next to the empty beer barrels. Toilets are also a little rough.

·

Great food, great beer, lovely staff. Locals that make you welcome. Why can't this pub be at the top of my street.

We went here Sunday 30th Jan for a super last minute Sunday roast. Delicious. I would say its roughly on par with everywhere else in terms of pricing for food and drinks. We had gammon and chicken dinners and both were brilliant. Friendly staff and great service. Only thing for me is that the toilet has one of those doors with a huge gap at the top and bottom of the cubicle...I don't understand why anyone would do that as surely the point of a door is for privacy!! We will definitely go back to try other things on the menu.

What a GREAT place. The wonderful barmaid Maureen attended to our every need. The meal was just superb- BIG compliments to the chef. Five of us attended for my mates 65th and we all really enjoyed ourselves. GREAT food and great price. We will be back.
