Amontola in Richmondshire

Good food, nice environment. Menu has changed a few times recently but still seems consistent offering.

Lovely food at Amontola in Richmond, only complaint was lots of stairs to climb as it's on the 1st floor - but still giving 5 stars as food was great

Fantastic meal lamb kori full of flavour friendly staff every thing about our visit was good faultless. If your in Richmond one to try you won't be disappointed.

25 minutes after being seated we were asked if we would like a drink. We ordered our main course at the same time as we received our drinks and over 50 minutes later our food arrived. The food was decidedly average. The restaurant was busy which I’m sure had an effect on the time it took to receive the food. But nothing influences the quality of the food coming out the kitchen.

Amazing place for quality Indian food, with a wide variety of dishes. This place is wonderful the staff are very friendly and informative. The place itself is spacious and nicely decorated, love the huge paintings on the walls this is a real charming Indian restaurant.

A very spacious and well presented restaurant. On the night that my wife and I were there (a Saturday) there were a lot of full tables. The staff were very helpful. The food was delicious and at a good price. We would definitely go again.

A fantastic Indian restaurant with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Really polite and professional service and gleaming food. I'd highly recommend this curry house.

I made a walking tour of 2 weeks in Yorkshire. I ate Indian several times but this was the best where I have eaten. Close to the city centre and to the guesthouses. Friendly, efficient personnel. Normal prices. I had Lamb Karma with pilaw rice and chicken peas as a sidedish (the latter was not on the menu but available) and it was all delicious! There is nothing to complain about the quantities either which are more than okay. It is a big restaurant, reservation is seldom needed I guess. Good WiFi. They have an alcohol licence.
