Friars Head in Richmondshire

Had Sunday lunch, was rubbish. Will definitely not go again. Far better places in the surrounding area much better quality and cheaper.

Hi,visited this lovely restaurant/pub 2 weeks ago,set in a beautiful location with a great view,ideal for weddings etc,as a party of 4 we enjoyed a lovely meal and at a reasonable price,staff were helpful,friendly and cheerful,would definitely return,well done to all involved 🙂

We arrived for afternoon tea but there'd been a mix up so we stopped for lunch instead,Beautiful location, lovely quirky pub & restaurant and nice food.The afternoon teas looked amazing too and I'm sure we'll be returning to try them.

Just been for afternoon tea …. Food was nice but soooooo soooo many flies it was very off putting…. We moved tables but the flies followed us we couldn’t wait to get out … we left some sandwiches and cakes coz flies were landing on them

We had afternoon tea, which was scruptious. Due to staff shortage there was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it. The landlord kept us informed and organised our drinks while we waited for our food. Pleasant surroundings too.

Called in for lunch today. Pleasantly surprised, ours meals were lovely. My partner had the special, a beef noodle dish and said it was very tasty .New front of house staff, who are polite, friendly and professional. New chef also, who obviously knows how to cook. Much improvement noted at the Friars. Hope it continues.

Beautiful!We came here for Sunday dinner to finish off a fantastic weekend of 30th birthday celebrations for my other half. The building is so striking from the outside and this continues throughout. Staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was really lovely. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Beautiful place to visit. Staff were lovely and the food was delicious. I was grateful for the gluten free options on the menu. The service was spot on. It wasn't expensive either! Lovely place.

The food here was lovely and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it for an evening meal.

The location is lovely. And they have done an amazing job at making the place look high class and closy. Real fire nice bar. Great seating area.Food was really very good. We were cheeky and had the tapas a starter which I think was way better value for money! The mains were well present and also tasted great. Service was ok (only thing it loses a star for) and as they were empty was quick.I would recommend a visit!
