Hendersons Bar & Restaurant in Richmondshire

Booked on the spur of the moment and don’t regret it for a minute. Staying in Richmond to break the journey from Scotland home and ate at Elixir in the evening. The staff were unfailingly polite and courteous and the food was exceptional. The presentation was first class and the taste was stunning and the portions were more than adequate. Very wide menu. Would recommend to anyone in Richmond for a visit - I suspect the locals already know!

My husband & myself have just enjoyed a fabulous meal at Elexir .. the service was excellent the staff are so friendly and attentive .. our drinks were brought out very quickly and our food served was delicious and piping hot .. We started with Calamari which was so tasty ( Mains were Chicken supreme & Chicken pasta )We finishd with two delicious Coffe's served with a biscuit .. A very pleasent evening at a lovely restaurant ... All Perfect !!We look forward to a return visit hopefully very soon

We thought we would try Elixir before suggesting to our holiday cottage guests to try it. We had a very poor experience we ordered 2 ham and cheese toasties and coffee. The coffee was very poor and the toasties also, mine being made with the crusts on one side and some very flat worn out salad. Most people these days have a coffee machine and experience great tasting coffee we were very underwhelmed this a new business but definitely needs to up it's game with more attention to detail and ambition to provide a great experience.

We hadnt booked anywhere and tried to get in at the Piazza but they were fully booked. The waiter advised us to go to Elixir run by the same owners. We are glad we did. The food was beautiful and the surroundings too.It was much quieter, but that's not a bad thing.I had the seafood pizza. It was melt in the mouth, delicious and a generous size. My husband enjoyed the vegetarian risotto. I had an Aperol Spritz. Service was excellent. Well worth a visit

The restaurant has a modern contemporary feel. The food was great and the staff were friendly. The location is lovely, set at the top of the market place in Richmond.If you are looking for a quality restaurant in Richmond, then this is a great place to eat.

Driving to the lakes the scenic way. Decided to eat in Richmond. Walked around the market square and found this place. First visit not the last. Perfect parking for the motorbikes.Quickest service I’ve ever had meal arrived same time as the drinks no bad thing when ordered together. Fajitas were good, sea bass my partner had she said this was also amazing.

We visited Elixir for a family celebratory evening meal. The restaurant is modern, clean and has a very welcoming atmosphere and staff. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. A lovely evening.
