Awful food and experience. Wish I read reviews before going in. I don't like leaving reviews if they are not positive, but this is an exception. As i need to remind my self and warn others.Had a sandwich, small bun. the bread was nice but the fillings were awful and sparse- salad was so old that the cucumber was see-through. (Picked it out, didn't want food poisoning)"Unlimited coffee" was cold and of unnecessarily poor quality. The glass given for drinking from was so dirty I believe he may have forgotten to wash it. Dare not ask for a clean one, just didn't use it, Because Owner really is grumpy and an awful attitude like other reviews say. which just made for an awful atmosphere while I sat there.Rude. If you make error of going in, it's your own fault.Very disinterested in the products he is selling.Slightly friendlier once I forced a conversation out of him......which was more for my own protection, After he screamed and swore at a potential customer who popped in and "dared to ask a question" about what food may be on the menu. He actively called them names and chased them out !!A lot of the cheese and other food was so old and unfresh he was was having to throw a lot away. Wish I noticed it before I agreed to sit down.Regretted the entire experience.Had taken photos of above but deleted out of frustration. Wish i hadn't as you really do need to see how bad it was.

A lovely little deli, the owner was straightforward and helpful, not at all rude as others have suggested. Coffee was excellent and food varied and delicious. Would come again.

Larger selection of teas, homemade lunches, lovely owner, straight forward and no nonsense! Great cheeses and other deli items available too!

Great little cafe. Great welcome and great conversation. Huge portions of pie and flan. Stuffed for the rest of the day! Cheers

Unpleasant shop keeper with a terrible attitude to customers. Thankfully we didn't spend any money there. We asked him the price of different items, to which an abrupt and terse response was given each time. In the end he turned nasty and told us to leave. I wasn't going to.place a review but when I checked the reviews on here over a number of years, I thought it was my duty to post. Beware of the Rottweiler! Ruff!

Visited this establishment on 7th September and was extremely shocked by his rude behaviour to us.We ordered teas , coffee and toasties which was OK. He enquired what I was laughing at when we were chatting....I thought he was joking ...no way. With mad bulging eyes he enquired again why I was laughing. We decided to leave immediately as I found him quite threatening. We paid the bill and quickly left. The rudest man ever and obviously hates customers .By the way clean the window sill...dead wasps !

The man behind the counter seemed to have a lovely selection of locally produced food but talk about pushy!!! When we decided we didn't want to eat there, he yelled 'Thank you for wasting my time!' as we left. If he could work on the ambience of the 'cafe' then maybe he'd get more custom.

Having attended this cafe today, I am sure I will not be going back. Owner was not really happy or welcoming to see a customer in his establishment. Trying to make a polite light conversation was like pulling teeth. Any replies were sticato. Totally uninterested and not bothered.I had asked for a cheese and pickle sandwich to take out. He just seemed really angry and grumpy. The sandwich in a bun was awful. The thinnest layer of chutney on the bun which was hard and dry. I would have taken it back but had a feeling I would have got no where. If this man continues to treat customers like this, he will have no business left.

Friendly service. Bottomless cup of coffee and tasty scone. Can't do better than that! Note that this is a small and rather intimate cafe. One large table and a counter with stools means lots of interaction with your fellow coffee drinkers.

Excellent food in an intimate environment, a table surrounded by a shelves of I-want grocery items, with added good-humoured conversation. Healthily portioned sandwiched with home-roasted ham, a variety of soups and pies, flans and salads are all available. Cakes and scones also delightful and homemade. A very very decent cup of coffee which is endless during your stay to boot.
