Kings Head Hotel Restaurant in Richmondshire

This is a lovely bar and seating area bit they need to get rid of the dogs. I love dogs I have 2 myself however people are letting them sit on the seats ,they feed them at the tables etc, the last thing I want is someone else's drooling dog watching me eat my meal. Can understand pubs etc but not here.

We arrived at 11:55am and asked whether they served food.They said that they did, but not till 12, so we asked for a seat. The waitress said that she would take our order ... But not till 12!(It's 5 minutes!)I ordered the beef (at 12) and my wife ordered the lasagna.The food took half an hour to arrive and other people's food came quicker than ours, which is always worrying.When the food arrived it was good, although quite expensive.

Such a nice place, very welcoming staff, nicely decorated, clean and sells quality beers. We didn't have anything to eat but we don't doubt it would be good too.

Went here for an evening meal, was kept waiting for 5 minutes while 2 staff members seemed to ignore me then was told we don't do walk ins despite the place having few people in the restaurant. In the end did have a meal, which was okay nothing special. Staff had personal mobiles and noticed were on these during service, staff failed to bring half of my dessert.Left feeling underwhelmed by the Kings Head Hotel.

I went here with eleven friends for dinner and everything was perfect. The staff, food, decor, cleanliness, all excellent, even to the point of printing off each person's meal choice. You know how easy it is to forget what you'd ordered! A slight problem is that the car park is for residents only not dinner guests. So unless you visit on a Sunday when the market square parking is free it may be difficult to park near the hotel. Overall a must to visit!

Really impressed with the room. Lots of little features we didn't expect. Pleasant staff, very clean overall. Only thing was we felt the food was a bit expensive. We'd already arranged to eat out and we felt we got better value for money doing this. Will definitely use the hotel again

A really nice place to relax and have a coffee. The menu looked good, but didn't eat, dog friendly in the lounge and bar.

Lovely Hotel Room was very cosy comfortable with all little extras even rubber duck in bathroom , breakfast was lovely, only thing is paying £15.00 for parking we paid it was in a secure carpark but loved are stay will defoe be back

Appologies for this post, because the King's Head Hotel is a great venue for an evening meal and drinks.Unfortunately we didn't feel welcome on this visit. Appreciate we only called in for a couple of drinks and light bite.Hope our next visit will be much more akin to your normal standard of service.

Called in for a coffee boxing day & the staff were cheerful & friendly. Doesn't matter what time you call in. You'll always get a warm welcome. The white hot chocolate was amazing.
