We arrived in Hawes after a long hilly walk, on Sunday 12th June 2022 feeling windswept and thirsty, and spotted Laburnham house. We spoke to the gentleman outside and asked what time they closed and he told us not to worry about that, and to come inside. What a treat! Immaculately clean, well decorated but with a homely feel.We had a locally made fruit cake served with local unpasteurised Wensleydale cheese and of course, a pot of Yorkshire tea.The chef came out of the kitchen and told us about the local producers. We were never hurried along and felt genuinely welcome.Highly recommended. They are also a B&B which is good to know for the future.

Off the main street and easily missed. So glad we spotted it. Exceptional service and lovely food which is locally sourced. Is dog friendly and our lucky dog was greeted with treats and a bowl of water before we even ordered. Will be back next time in Hawes.

Brilliant food! The fact the ingredients are locally sourced make all the difference to the quality of the food! The staff are so friendly and made a point to talk to my Nana about the food. Really impressed.

Stupendous. Simply blown away by the afternoon tea which was unmatched by any we have had elsewhere - including The Goring and Fortnums in London. Excellent quality and range in sandwiches, cakes, scones but with amazing extras such as home made houmous, local cheese on seed crackers, chocolate mousse, all at a very reasonable price. Wonderful local jams. And they catered perfectly for the one member of our party of three who had gluten intolerance.

Had an afternoon tea. First class service and excellent food. Just off the high Street in the east bound one way system. Highly recommended.

Stopped here for refreshments on a day ride around the Dales. Glad I did - faultless. Great food, spotlessly clean and run by lovely people.
