Number 29 Alehouse & Gin Bar in Richmondshire

After a 175 mile drive to Catterick to visit a client - I always seek out Number 29 in Richmond. The very warm Monday evening was no exception. With just the front door wedged open it was very comfortable inside. It was busy but the extremely polite staff found me a table. Succinct menu with most of the favourites - it always hits the spot. A real gem.

Really good tapas food. My partner and I ordered 7 tapas thinking we'd be able to eat more later. We were sadly defeated. And ended up not eating it all. Great beers and atmosphere. Also dog friendly.

What can I say two of my favorite things all in one place. Gin and Tapas! Really yummy food and excellent service. The lady serving us was really helpful. So many gins to try and they have recommended tonics to help you pair them. The tapas was well presented and really good sizes. Would recommend.

Gorgeous little find tucked just off the main market square in Richmond. The tapas was delicious, extremely fresh, tasty and full of flavour at a really reasonable price. Excellent service too. To make it even better they serve real ale 😍 and are mentioned in CAMRA'S good beer guide 2022 ...what's not to love. I'll definitely be returning

Popped into this lovely little tapas bar today wow!! The food is amazing ! A lovely lady approached us and seated us we went in to order the mushrooms in sauce ( which I could have drank like soup )it was so good .. also the meatballs and Canarian potatoes also the olives bread and oils etc , we were absolutely delighted with the taste from all dishes .. weve visited Richmond for over 30 years and so pleased we’ve found this restaurant so next visit we will be booking for an evening.

Amazing food, great selection of Wine and Spirits and friendly staff!! Of course it's not going to be Wetherspoons prices but it's certainly worth paying the extra for the bit of class that this little place brings to Richmond.

Thankyou so much to all at the Alehouse for a great evening. Perfect place to eat, drink & catch up with our family from overseas after 2 years apart. The owners/staff were so welcoming & worked so hard all night keeping us fed & watered. The food was perfect, the beer chilled & the gins mixed to perfection…. What more could you want!!!! Will definitely be back soon.

Cosy, tasteful and unique spot with welcoming and considerate staff.My husband and I tried to get in our first night in Richmond and it was fully booked. So glad we came back because the food and wine was wonderful. We mentioned that we were on our honeymoon (as were another couple in the restaurant!) and they went above and beyond to make our evening even more special. We had a great chat with the owner at the end of the night - genuine guy, you can tell this place is a real passion project.

Love this place! A great wee restaurant for something a bit different. So nice to have tapas and sharing plates with an excellent selection of gins and friendly staff too. Highly recommend 👌
