Penleys Cafe and Bistro in Richmondshire

Went in for a couple of full English breakfasts and they were spot on. Took our little dog Ava in with us and she was made very welcome downstairs. We had a couple of americano coffees and extra toast, couple of extra sausages and extra mushrooms. Total cost around £22 and the ingredients were clearly all locally sourced and delicious. Staff courteous and friendly, would recommend.

Situated in the heart of Richmond Market Place. Penley's is the perfect place to park and eat. A warm welcome sets the tone. The menu is quite varied.We decide to sit upstairs. The window seats are the perfect place to people watch.Our order was taken at the counter downstairs. Our drinks are soon served.As it is lunchtime, I have ordered a chilli and mozzarella jacket potato, my better half is having a panini.It is only a short wait before the food follows the drinks.The food looks very appetising and it is matched by it's taste.It was a very relaxing way to spend a lunchtime. The meals were priced very competitively indeed.Looking forward to our next visit.

I'm not a frequent customer, but every time I've been here, the food has been good, and the service friendly.I had the cajun chicken salad on my last visit, which I enjoyed.

A big Thankyou to Penley's for providing the amazing food for my daughter's baby shower. Nothing was to much trouble everybody was catered for and the service was perfect.

Excellent cappuccino and friendly efficient service

Love the chicken wrap, it was delicious. Besides that customer service was awsome. We have ordered one extra dish by mistake, even then dish was prepared, we asked for cancellation and staff just did it happily and refunded the full amount. That kind of customer service is rare. Highly recommended.

Lovely place to have lunch and watch the world go by. Laid back cafe with plenty of seating on both floors. Dog friendly! You order at the till and they bring you your food. Quick and friendly service and in a central location!

Super service. Wonderful selection on the menu. I had mushroom avocado cheese wrap; what genius thought up that combination! It was extremely tasty.

Milkshakes were great. Whipped cream and marshmallows? Yes please!
