Wouldn’t recommend anything on a bap at lunchtime unless you like dry bread with no butter. £8 for a slice of ham on dry bread with a couple of crisps and salad! Go over the road or the chippy next door!

Sharon and the team always make us feel welcome. Sam's mom cooks the most beautiful breakfast. The room was really clean and comfortable and the locals really friendly. Would recommend to anyone to stay there. See you again soon Frank and Denise (josh mom and dad).

Lovely cosy log fire, traditional village pub with fab Sunday lunch 👌Great welcome from the landlady/staff. Great location in the village, a couple of minutes walk to Middleham Castle. And did I say fab Sunday Lunch 👍😋

We only had a meal and drink in this pub. The food was very disappointing and the service very slow. The staff were friendly but seemed overwhelmed by the number of customers.

The pub is one of several pubs in Middleham offering food accommodation and they have entertainment. Food is pretty good and the entertainment this time a Friday attracts a good crowd.The room we had looked good and was to a point. Unfortunately the bed a big one had two uneven mattresses (one very poor) and the double glazed window would not open properly and then steamed up. Could hear the horses but not see them.

2 nights in racing stables country,what a treat.The hotel is period with enormous charm and wonderful food,drink and hostess.The staff work tirelessly to provide seamless service.Amazing New Year break.

Our room was good with a window over the town centre. We saw the racehorses heading up to the gallops every morning. The location is great for those visiting Middleham trainers, hiking , and the Castle all within a walk. The food was OK but service was kinda slow possible understaffed
