It's a Bangladesh restaurant, thought it was Indian, the waiter explained. The best lamb biryani so far. Freshly cooked, lamb soft, taste is sooo good. Fish bhuan is the same freshly cooked however, i tasted the tomatoe and bell pepper they've used are not fresh, it's one of those pre chopped and kept in fridge. They should smell it before using it coz i tasted it and i have to spit it out from my mouth. I can tell if the food is fresh or reheated from microwave, as well as if vegetables are fresh or not. Other than that everything is perfect... The price is worth it, for that 2 dishes it cost me £26, service charge NOT included. So i can imagine for dine in they might include service charge on top. If u are looking for quality food, this is the right restaurant. Realistically speaking, there's no more quality food for a low price. Just sit down and relax in this restaurant and enjoy ur food...👍

Best Indian restaurant in Richmond, nice wines and good service. Food is exceptional and well presented. No frills but great chilled atmosphere. Prices competitive.

Really disappointing, had a lamb passanda. Meal was picked up 5 minutes before due but was luke warm. The lamb was very tough infact a couple of pieces were totally inedible. This was our first and last visit.

One of the best curry house I have been to. Great service with friendly staff. Food excellent.

The best meal I've had in a very long time, if you are in the area make sure you visit Taj Mahal. Staff, food, drinks second to none and lovely venue. We will be back very soon

This is the second time i have ordered a delivery from Taj Mahal and the second time I have had to walk around my street looking for the delivery driver who could not find my addtess. Every other take away in Richmond seems to find my address without a problem. On top of this my peshwari paratha was raw throughout n my tandori king prawn balti was absolutely laced with huge amounts of onions to bulk it out. Should have stuck to ordering from my usual Cutperse take away. Would have been cheaper too!!

Great food, friendly service. Young lad Adam well what charming manners a credit to your parents. Would not hesitate in eating here again.

Our meal was really delicious; the service was friendly and prompt (great when you have a hungry 6 year old and 9 month old with you!). The staff were also able to advise on suitable dishes for our food allergies. I'd recommend this place.

Visiting Richmond first time. Booked table arrived to be escorted to our table. Lovely waiter Adam looked after us. Food was by far the best we have ever had. However the bill was a huge shock £57.00 turns out we had been charged over £21 for a bottle of house wine. My astonishment clearly showed and the folks at the next table were also astonished. Being fair to Adam he did soften the blow with a free drink, a large glass of red and a Whisky for my Husband. Lovely place and food but be VERY WEARY of the price of drinks and check the price before you order.

Food and service were excellent, staff friendly and helpful. MThe bill was surprisingly higher than expected. Can't really grumble, but you can expect to pay £30-35 per head for mains and a couple of beers. 4.5 would be my award if .5 were available.
