Absolutely horrific customer service, which is a real shame because the pub itself is in a lovely setting and could be a real delight. Total let down and when I tried to discuss the issue with them by email they were rude then simply stopped replying. You’re best off driving here and taking a picnic to have outside instead so you can avoid the rude bartenders and high prices (£13 for two lagers which were pretty substandard honestly!)

Great for a drive and great atmosphere inside, fires on and love the decor. Staff okay. Good to go for a pint, could happily sit by the fire all afternoon if we didn't haven't to drive home. Had Sunday roast, my partners said his beef was rubbish, barely ate any. I loved my pork and rest of meal. Yorkshire seem to be going for size instead of being good Yorkshire, crispy and empty. Will visit again and recommend for a pint but probably wouldn't eat there again.

Took my American relations for Lunch. Loved the place and location. Shame about the food, chips had been cooked that many times and were hardly edible. Steak and Ale pie was average but fish very good. Rather pricey but then prices have gone up

Great location, famously the highest pub in the country. I usually stop off here when I go wild camping in my van and walking on the pennine way. I often call in for food and drink in the evening and full English breakfast on a morning when I can't be bothered to make it myself. Unfortunately I've never been snowed in up here but they are open all year round. I've been here in the winter as well as summer and the staff are always friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend this place, it's worth calling in if you are exploring the countryside and it's even worth making a special visit just to come to the pub.

We had a great time! This place is an 'experience', not fancy or posh, but a bustling and happy atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful ; they stayed calm even though they were rushed off their feet. Room was clean and comfortable. Lots of music and smiling faces everywhere.

My husband and I had been here once before covid and had a Sunday lunch for 2, this time we were on holiday locally and wanted to bring a friend who'd never been before. The food was just as good ( two of us had the steak pie and the other had fish and chips).A warm welcome greeted us and all the staff were very friendly.

Visited Tan Hill Inn on a Friday night, Feb 2022… had food and drinks then stayed over in our camper van.Staff were very welcoming, we had reserved a table (which I’d recommend).. food and drinks were good and served quickly. We stayed inside the pub until last orders as the atmosphere was so nice. There was a lad singing, who was great to listen to in the background… didn’t catch his name unfortunately. All in all a top night… worth a visit 👍

This was easily one of the best pubs I have visited in Britain. Exceptionally friendly service, log fires, real ales and superb restaurant quality food. I was stayed overnight in my campervan in the pub's car park. They charge just a £10 donation to the Mountain Rescue and provide a free to use hot shower and toilet too. The food an beverages were very reasonably priced for the quality provided. There is even an opportunity to pull your own pint and get a certificate for doing so, which is quite a novelty in Britain's highest pub. Full marks from me. Simply outstanding in every way.

Glorious weather at a stunningly beautiful place high up in the Yorkshire Dales. Great beer, delicious food, lovely staff as well as Santa and his reindeer. What more could you want. The rooms were excellent and for an isolated Inn surprisingly comfortable. A lovely place to stay and always popular with campers, walkers, day visitors, so book well in advance. Well recommended.
