Lovely friendly pub. Lovely land lady. Dog friendly in fact my dog was made so welcome with a treat and drink of water he stops at the door when we walk past.

Enjoyed a really well prepared and cooked meal at The Angel Inn after a local hike out with my walking group. Very friendly staff and food freshly cooked at very reasonable prices. Plenty of places to park. Highly recommended.

Great pub.First time I have been today. Called in on a regular twice a week trip passing through this village.Wished We had stopped months ago.Great selection of drinks including quality real ales.Nice drinks, nice staff, nice atmosphere.Brilliant!

We had intended to eat here for lunch but service had finished at 2pm so we just had crisps and drinks. The bar person in the early afternoon was lovely and chatty and we liked the pub dog. Local darts players kept us entertained and the real fire was lovely and warm. Reasonably priced drinks meant we stayed here for 3 hours rather than one. Thanks

Great pint of John Smiths Smooth

Atmospheric local village pub. Limited menu but try the steak and ale pie with proper short crust pastry and fresh vegetables, delicious!!. We managed to get a table without booking but several people who came after us were told they were fully booked so would recommend booking. An excellent pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord. Good value all round.

Great little pub, dog friendly with a great garden. Beer kept well and the lightest batter on my onion rings ever.Worth a trip out.

First day out of lockdown and came across the angel pub, only wanted a quick beer so popped in, masks on and shown to a table by Amber, who looks after front of house and runs the bar, mother runs the kitchen looking after the food.. 2 real ales, Timothy Taylors was my choice, turned out to be a very wise one, superb pint, as we're walking stayed for second, log burner going and locals very friendly, all willing to chat over a pint, returned next day lunchtime fish and chips and chicken parm with fresh veg, some of the best pub food we have had on our travels, thank you the angel, took photos at opening time to avoid crods spoiling pictures,

We had Sunday lunch with friends this week I must say it was the best Sunday lunch that I have had in a long time the vegetables were cooked th perfection with a good choice , the staff were very accommodating and we had everything we needed . The only downside was inside where a small dog was allowed to be up on the seating which can only encourage others to do the same ,a small dog basket would have been more preferable as my black trousers were covered in dog hair ,I love animals but there is a place for them .
