Great food and service. We arrived as a party of 11, the landlady said there was only one chef so we thought we'd have a long wait. But alas no, it was super speedy service. Worth a visit!

Quiet pub had a couple of pints staff friendly toilets clean worth a look of your visiting

Brilliant food since the new owners came. Definitely recommend for cheap and cheerful home-style cooking :)

·

Called in on a rainy day on the off chance of some food and had an unexpectedly good omelet! Served by a friendly young girl behind the bar and a reasonable final bill. What's more not to like!

·

Good quality food and generous portions. The lady that served us was by herself and couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Definetly worth a visit

The Bishop Blaize is a lovely local pub with a very traditional bar and lounge area. It then has a dining area at the rear which is very different. My wife and I had a good, reasonably priced meal at 6.15 p.m. even though they normally stop serving at 5.00pm. They had served later as several people had asked for food...a very accommodating, flexible way of operating. I would also mention that they have a "beer garden" at the back with a great back drop of Richmond Castle keep. We enjoyed their hospitality.

Excellent hospitality, and amazing food. Myself and a couple of friends stopped here for a respite from the rain as we toured the Yorkshire Dale's on our motorcycles. The owners made us feel very welcome, and even lit the fire for us to warm up and dry some of our gear out. We also ordered some drinks and food from the menu and when it arrived it actually blew us away. It's not typical pub food. Its properly home cooked style meals that aren't just reheated like most pubs, someone put a lot of love into it. Fully recommend anything with chips (as they're home cut and home fried!), and the pies were to die for. Thanks again, we'll be back in no time.
