The Crown Inn Askrigg in Richmondshire

Meals served on first come basis ,this pub does not take bookings. we waited 30 min for a table,then told there was approx 45 min./ 1hour wait till we would receive our order!Decided to dine elsewhere.Be prepared to spend most of the evenings out, not just a quick meal out.Review is for the service only, it does not reflect the quality of food, which we understand to be excellent.

Great menu, excellent food and service. Dog friendly. Happily return. Called in Friday night early, found a itable. Full of locals. probably best to book a table. Excellent country pub

A lovely village pub with great food and great value for money too and very friendly staff i had Steak and ale pie with chips made with suet and it was out of this world so if you near well worth the trip you love it and as a biker i was welcomed too

We love the excellent home made food at The Crown- the steak pie is always outstanding!! Good range of well kept cask beers and a warm friendly atmosphere too.

We visited for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. Lovely roasts enjoyed beside a log fire. Really good that they had different size options for meals to accommodate those that don't eat as much. Beer was also excellent 👌

Stopped for lunch in this welcoming pub with friendly locals. I enjoyed a Prawn roll with chips and my husband had a sweet chilli chicken roll with chips. Both were served quickly and as a generous portion, would recommend if you are in the area! Dog friendly inside too!

A lovely, traditional pub. Fine beers 🍻. A friendly atmosphere and if you are hungry there's a great selection of meals to choose from so will not leave thirsty or hungry.

Fresh deco, clean, good simple (non fried) food.Lovely 'bear garden' in the hillside in the back to catch some sun...Finally came across a pub on our staycation in the North that had non fried food. (We had omlett with choice of fillings, backed potatoes with choice of toppings)
