The Garden @ Wensleydale Heifer in Richmondshire

What an unbelievable experience.I have eaten at many of the finest steak houses in the north and North east but this place is next level.I could not find one fault and I'm as picky as they come.The food was beyond perfection, the staff are so friendly and polite while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and they make you feel like they are there solely for you.The pricing is on the high side but this is no negative as the level of quality you receive reflects this and is justified in every way.I cant praise Wensleydale heifer and their staff highly enough for a perfect night with the finest food.

Had the 3 course Sunday lunch, it was truly superb. The sweet course was like a work of art on a plate, almost a shame to eat it!I thought £36 for 3 courses was excellent value, with drinks, coffee and service charge it came out at just under a hundred pounds for 2, terrific value for the quality on offer. If ever we visit the Dales again we will definitely eat at the heifer!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Service is totally brilliant! Attentive, knowledgeable, on point! FOOD I’m still thinking about the maple syrup salad! On a serious note I took my mum, daughter and brother for lunch. Mum is paralysed in a wheelchair. They gave us a great table and had already removed the chair as she cannot transfer! THIS is attention to detail and I cannot thank them enough! Back soon for a mother and daughter sleep over! Thanks guys

I'm sitting in the car park writing this after a really lovely lunch at the WH.The service was impeccable. So very friendly.The food was delicious.The attention lavished on the kids plus the gifts and yummy desserts made it a truly fun experience for them.Our waitress was so lovely!! You can tell she has a great way with kids (the ex teacher shining through).Highly recommend - it's the most family friendly place I have ever been to.

Fantastic pub… it’s one of my favourite places to eat… I would recommend the fish and chips as excellent value for money. The decor is beautiful, food is excellent quality and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. The owner, in particular, was very kind. The pub are very accommodating of children and dogs and I thought the soft toys, gift bag and hand drawn chocolate drawings of the unicorn / dinosaur a great touch.

Booked in at short notice for my partners birthday lunch while we were on holiday from the Highlands. Booked in online, the meal was fantastic, the service was great, very quick, but not in a rushed way. The seafood menu was very good and varied, the fish and chips were great, went for the large, which was more than enough, but the mega sized, and win a tee shirt did appeal. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Amazing special birthday. The chocolate room was fantastic and had everything you could want and so much chocolate 🍫. The staff were attentive, service excellent and food quality exceptional. Special thanks to Ryan, Daniel, Rani and Damien for making our stay even more special with their excellent customer service skills. We will be back next year.

Booked ahead and visited whilst in the area for our wedding anniversary as we wanted something special and we weren't disappointed. From the warm friendly greeting to the service throughout the evening, the quality of the food and knowledge of their food and wine made this definitely a very enjoyable evening to remember.Definitely going to be a tough act to follow for next years anniversary.

The WH was from the moment you walk in was top class. The reception from the front of house was warm and friendly. We dined on the Friday and Saturday night. 1st night we had to try the fish and chips and were not let down the fish it was nothing but perfection beautifully battered light and crispy and the fish was plentiful all the way through. The chips, curry sauce and posh peas were incredible. To finish off we had the trio for lemon desserts to share which was awesome. The second night my wife had the sea food salad all I can say was WOW it was tasty and plentiful. I had the fillet beef starter which was divine and for main I had the Sea Bass with mash and mussels which was again cooked to perfection, and to finish off we had the Valentines sharer dessert which again was beautifully presented. I cannot recommend the WH high enough. Top marks from myself and the wife. We will be back. 🤩😋🤩 and lastly ALL the staff were so attentive nothing was to much trouble and everything was cleared away in timely fashion.

Fantastic experience again, loved the children’s the menu which is amazing value. Good and service is second to none. Our dishes were all fresh and very tasty !At the end of the meal staff also brought out a party pack which keeps the children happy all the way home.
