The Hildyard Arms in Richmondshire

Lovely pub with fab customer service. I used to work there and know first hand that the staff will go above and beyond for the customers. Reece and Mike are lovely, Ange is a sweet heart and Brigette is so welcoming and her food is fab. The regulars all know how to have a good time and would welcome anyone. Dogs welcome inside and the pub often do little events. You can pitch your tent in the garden for free if you buy a pint (has shower and toilet facilities) or can pay a little fee for a cute gypsy style room. All round a lovely pub xx

Just popped in for a rest stop and drink. Sat outside and didn't go in so don't know what it's like inside. Table service due to the pandemic.They have a small camp site at the back including a couple of old style gipsy caravans and space for a couple of camper vans. A chap had a tent pitched on the grass and apparently you can pitch for free as long as you buy food and drink from the pub.Friendly service and a a couple of awnings in the garden which kept us dry during a heavy rain shower.

Popped into the Hildyard arms on our Coast to Coast trip and had a wonderful stay over in the pub garden! We were welcomed and well looked after by Bridget and the team and will be sure to stop in again next time we're in the area. 10/10. We arrived a little late on and although they had stopped serving food Bridget sorted us out with some chicken fillet burgers :) (Also such great facilities: clean areas and awesome shower!)

Great location at the end of day nine of the coast to coast. With free camping when you use the pub for a few wind down beers. They kept kitchen open for us too so we had a lovely meal too. Land lord was up and serving a massive full English breakfast for us in the morning to fill us on our way to complete our 20 miles of day 10. Great little find, so friendly and everyone KS genuine

I had a (good) coffee here while doing a part of the Coast to Coast Path. Relaxed atmosphere. A friendly place. Quiet location down by the river but no views. Modest prices. I was sitting on the terrace. Calm place and very nice to sit there.
