Great looking place, great food and lovely people that served us. Can't complain.

Excellent all round. Came for dinner with a big group for a friend's birthday surprise and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They cleared the tables from a previous group quite quickly and allowed us to decorate them. The food we had was enjoyed by all, every dish looked great and cooked with fresh ingredients. I had calamari and lamb kofta and enjoyed both very much. It isn't the cheapest but you pay for quality.

Dropped in without a booking for lunch on Saturday and got a table without a problem. The menu has changed to be Spanish focused since our last visit. The lamb was a generous portion and my husband enjoyed it. My halloumi flatbread was very dry and stodgy. We later learnt it should have come with some sort of relish. The cask Black Sheep was excellent.

Absolutely delicious Sunday lunch; fantastic portions, perfect Yorkshires! Desserts were fantastic as well. Lovely, cosy pub with very friendly and efficient staff - faultless.

Really great again, its beginning to be a regular stop off going North. Lovely welcome, very pleasant staff. We both had the pulled pork Sunday lunch which was outstanding with mash and veg cooked to perfection all washed down with one of the finest pints of Black Sheep bitter I have had the pleasure to enjoy. Apologies to the Chef as we couldn't finish it all and still hope to drive on. By the way crackling to die for 👍.

Lovely meal in excellent surroundings, staff very courteous and helpful. Priced reasonable

Sunday Lunch: Service polite and courteous but unfortunately does not compensate for an overall disappointment. The restaurant decor is dark and depressing and hard wood chairs and lack of table cloths is not good - tables are not set well and simple salt and pepper has to be requested and water glasses and water missing. The lighting scheme although perhaps modern ranges from glaring to dim and does not lend itself to a restful time. The quality of food and cooking is somewhat below average and leaves room for improvement. Not a place for a peaceful dining experience as rowdy groups and children dominate and disturb again. Cannot recommend.

Went for lunch with the family. Food excellent and cooked well. Felt it was a nice treat. Only problem was there are no baby changing facilities and I found this difficult when I needed to change my son's nappy. Had to squeeze in-between the sinks in the lady's which was not ideal. Luckily it was quiet so there wasn't lots of people coming in/out to use the loo. For this reason it would put me off going back.

Had a lovely impromptu meal here with my family and they found us a table right away. The staff were lovely and spent the time to ask us about allergies, which is something you don’t normally see as a allergen suffer.Overall was a lovely afternoon and great experience, P.S. the cocktails are amazing thanks to Lucy

Lovely pub in North Yorkshire. Attentive staff, lovely surroundings. Great beers and wines. Food is amazing, not your average “pub grub”. If your looking for something with a little extra, this is the place.Really glad these guys are open again, you just don’t get pubs like this anymore. Certainly be returning.
