Excellent food, great staff, service very good despite being a busy lunchtime. No atmosphere as such - it is just a typical cafe, nothing fancy or exotic!

Looks a bit like a men’s club (needs a few screens and tablecloths) but very clean and efficient. The food was great, and very good value. Worth a visit.

Visiting Hawes today, Tuesday - Market Day. Having lunch here at the Pantry. Small frontage but good size upstairs. Bar for alcohol and kitchen for sandwiches, jackets, various light meals. Food arriving at nearby tables. All nicely presented. We’ve had sandwiches with salad garnish and tubs of coleslaw and caramelised onion. We’ve had ham and Brie / beef and Wensleydale cheese. Both lovely. Tea for two has provided three cups of tea each. £14.65 total. We’ll try and squeeze a fourth. All staff are helpful and polite. What a gem of a place. Do try it. Reasonable prices too.

Unbelievable to find a place that is every bit as good today as it was 20 years ago. Excellent menu, food and staff and value for money. Thank you, we'll be back sooner than another 20 years

A large dining area with plenty of seating. A full menu with lots of choice for snacks, sandwiches and meals. Prices are good as are the portions. There is also a great children's menu. Service is quick and staff are very pleasant. It is counter service to order but food is brought to your table. Well worth a visit.

Simply delicious as always, we had the lamb dinner and the beef dinner. You will not leave hungry. The place is kept spotless the staff are constantly on the move cleaning and serving, nothing is too much trouble. Food allergies are taken very seriously and they will do whatever they can to help. You will always get service with a smile here. Cannot wait to go back

I just can't get enough of their full English brekkie. It's the best I've ever had. I mean it's mostly deep fried so that's probably why but it is seriously good and extremely good value. I go there every time I visit Hawes. I keep craving their mushrooms especially! Please don't change a thing! I'll be back soon!

What a wonderful place this is. The food was amazing, I had quiche and it was exquisite. I don't normally have puddings but was tempted and not disappointed, banofee pie, wow just wow. Family run business, very friendly and helpful. Prices good, if we are in the area we will definitely go back. Highly recommended
