Elif Turkish Barbecue Restaurant in Rotherham

Saturday evening 23rd April, my son and I enjoyed our 1st visit to This restaurant, the food was exceptional, the atmosphere was good and the staff were more than friendly and attentive, would definitely recommend this restaurant and we’ll definitely return again

Prefer elif 2 due to the space and couple options I like that elif 2 have on menu and elif doesn't but worth the same rating, foods good.

Service was friendly and polite. The food was tasty enough but not great portions for the price. We had three courses and they were sent out quickly not really giving us much of a rest between each. The wine was nice enough.

Food was lovely. For that I would give 5☆. The service left a lot to be desired. We felt rushed from the moment we arrived, and there was only 5 tables in. The waiter was abrupt and even rude at times. I've visited Elif several times over it's different ownerships. This is by far the least friendly.

Rubbish experience. Went on valentines day. It wasn't even busy. They proper rushed us and even brought the main course before we had finished the starter! Staff were rude and the food wasn't anything to write home about either. Over priced for what it is and the experience I had

The food was nice (but bbq chicken is very simple) however they was not enough of it at all. One of the dishes was wrong! The music was WAY to loud and its way to expensive. We paid £100 for four mainsand the plates was kinda empty! one and a half of chicken breasts (for two people) and about 400g of cooked lamb (that's not alot) . Not to mention that the starter was burnt. This is a place for people who have no or poor culinary skills basically people who think McDonalds is good dining. We will not be going here again.All in all. It's to expensive for the amount of food given with a negative feeling for ambience. And for the cost off cooking it adds up to about £3.45 each meal that was cooked but yet they charge £17 for basically a small or half a chicken breast (£1) and 200kg of lamb (£2) salad is cheap and the rice is cheap. No fault to the chefs this is a managerial problem to do with cost and customer services.

Just a great place. Beautiful food at reasonable prices all served by charming waiting staff with a genuine interest in the food and your general enjoyment of the restaurant. Would say it's the best meal out in a very long time. Having lived in the middle east for many years the food was totally authentic and delicious. Thank you.

Good quality fresh ingredients expertly prepared and cooked with a friendly and welcoming service. I've only used the takeaway option from Elif so far, thanks to the Covid-19 restrictions, but I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to visiting the restaurant when we get back to some form of normality. Hopefully sooner rather than later!
