Happy Village in Rotherham

Used to be fantastic when the original family had the business, quickly went downhill when it changed hands.

They’re barely open! The website says one thing you call and they’re shut even when the website says they’re open! Used this place for 20 years + but since the takeover it’s badly run.

Tasty food and good value

Not great. Flavours were not distinct. Very greasy. Chicken rubbery. Chips seemed reheated in a microwave. Expected better for the price paid :-(

Best authentic food around. Been going 30 years plus and never fails on taste, service and delivery. Would recommend to anyone who's a Oriental food fan.

Shocking place £37.00 for our order and half of food wasnt there food and sauces were disgusting curry tasted like water special curry had fish in it never again will we go there

The teen at happy village have always been very accomodating. We often ask for slight variations on standard dishes and they are happy to make these for us. We're also very happy to see bean curd on the menu now.The lady who serves at the counter is absolutely lovely. She is very good with children and we always leave happy with big smiles on our faces.

This is an excellent Chinese takeaway. We've been going here for decades and the owners are really friendly and helpful. We've tried others in the area but nothing compares.The food is always so fresh and delicious, we never feel ill or stodgy after eating it.It would be good if they did delivery but we guess they are so busy that they don't need to do it for more business!

Had two take away meals here over the past couple of years. Becsuse our regular Taste of China was closed.Both meals were well under what we expected. Burnt food all through. Sweet and sour sauce was replaced with curry sauce, Yuk. Chicken balls Burnt, crispy duck was burnt to a cinder. Rice was well over cooked. Called to let them know and could I bring sweet and sour chicken back for a replacement meal with sweet and sour sauce and not curry sauce. Told no because the replacement meal would be the same. Will never go back especially when the owner admits a replacement would also be burnt.
