Morrisons Cafe Catcliffe in Rotherham

The food is quite nice, interesting updated menu.The difficulty paying by cash is irritating, though.Till is often unattended these days. Even when staff can see you waiting!Picking a table before sitting down is all well and good when it's not busy, but you could run into problems if your predicted table is gone before you can get to it when they're full.You have to chase staff down for basics you wouldn't expect to have to ask for (example - the toast was plain and they didn't supply butter automatically)

Dirty cutelry in a bucket for everyone to touch, really unhygienic! Cups stained and teapots seen better day. Altogether dirty and food awful!

I got the veggi burger and it looks so well presented coming out, I was really impressed. But then after biting into the burger I realised they had used two of the cheapest burgers available (also tiny) which tasted like cardboard! What a shame!!!There was also no one at the till so I had to go into the kitchen to find someone to pay!

Poor choice of sandwiches considering it was lunchtime. Awkward staff who gave the impression they didnt really want to be there. The member of staff who brought our food asked if we wanted sauce. Having said yes please and said what we wanted he disapeared and it wasnt until we were halfway though our food that he reappeared. Used to love Morrisons cafe but not sure we'll bother again

It's alright, I guess. Staff seem rushed and less concerned with customer service than they used to be. Disappointing they've decided to scrap substitutions on meals... Anything in the name of making a buck, I guess.

Would give zero if I could, no staff, cold / half warmed up food and dirty tea mugs - should have known, the place was nearly empty on late sunday morning, used to be very busy.

Breakfast was alright, only thing is though the scrambled eggs look nice till you see underneath is a pool of water and also the beans didn't taste that nice today. Granted its not always this slack but it does seem to be getting worse everytime something goes wrong with my meal. Hot chocolates are banging though if the machine doesn't give you hot milk instead 😂.

Dirty tables and chairs ...left for hours without being cleaned ..even on quiet days. Dirty cups, trays and cutlery. Very lazy staff having myself & others stood at the checkout for a good 5 minutes before a member of staff came out to serve. Food is reheated not fresh. On 2 different occasions members of staff have been rude & abrupt.Disgusting & unacceptable

My wife was horrified and mortified on checking the receipt of our cooked breakfast. She had been charged 70 pence for half of a small warmed tomato, we won’t be going again and would like to warn unsuspecting customers of the hidden exuberant rip off
