Oceans Fish Bar in Rotherham

First time tonight and the donner is to die for, best donner meat in maltby with the best pies we’ve ever had. Very much enjoyed definitely coming again, chips were Gorgeous and steph is best fryer 😍

Tried it today for the first time after years going elsewhere, what Steph doesn't know about fish & chips isn't worth knowing(didn't realise she worked there til I collected food) absolutely beautiful food, get yersen theere❤

Get some lovely food here, can be hit n miss with the chips though but that's down to who's rotored on to cooking them that day/night, for example if you order a burger and chips and you get your burger on the left n chips to the right, then it's all spot on 100%, but other way round n you're likely to get hard thin bits of chips in with it and no sauce on top of the burger either.Other than this they've a wide range of dishes to suit everyone including vegetarian dishes, you can add extras like sauces or cheese etc if you want, the choice is yours, if they do get something wrong they're very good, just ring them n they'll put it right as quickly as they can. They forgot the drinks with mine and they had them out to me in under 10mins, so can't complain at that at all. Give them a try and see what you think

Past here this afternoon on a whim and got fish and chips, great, quick service, food was truly proper northern grub at a great price. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious we had haddock n peas on trays to take out. I drove passed 5 other fish shops but it was well worth it thank you we will be back .

Busy so the staff are annoyed because you have simply walked in. Nowhere to stand, so a little awkward and not a single person says won't be a minute. Extremely poor.Obviously operating a one in one out due to covid which is fully understood but absolutely no excuse for ignoring custom for a period of over 5 minutes. Also a shame the owners response to poor reviews is with inconsequential apologies that revert blame back onto its customers themselves who in all honesty keep them in business in the first place. Certainly won't be going back.

Just scoffed fish , chips,peas and it was absolutely fabulous.Get there now don't miss out on the fabulous food, quick service and great banter well done ladies keep up the great work xxxx

Absolutely fantastic Fish & Chips !Driving through Maltby one Cold and wet Thursday evening in December we saw the bright glow of a sign that read “Oceans fish bar“ and decided to give it a try. There is parking directly outside the shop which meant we didn’t have to walk very far.We were greeted by huge smiles and a very friendly atmosphere in the shop and despite having a small que they looked happy to see some new customers. I had fish chips and mushy peas and my wife had chicken kebab special. We were served very quickly and had our piping hot food in no time at all. We now have a new favourite fish & chip shop ! They’re is a big choice when deciding to get this classic British dish but we will always make the effort to go to Oceans in Maltby because they were fantastic , the food was delicious and we left feeling appreciated and suitably stuffed !! Thank you to all the team and see you again very soon !!
