Lovely looking place, great inside. However, this evening we visited for a birthday meal for my grandma and food took at least 55 minutes to arrive. When it did arrive the steaks were mixed up meaning that someone who wanted medium rare ended up with well done and we had to then swap over the table. The staff were lovely but waiting for the food for so long, without explanation, did ruin the evening a little bit.

Lovely country pub with lots of character. Lots of ales to choose from and a great food menu. I had the chicken pie and it was great value for money. Nice and hot and tasty! Service was fab too the staff where all friendly. We will be back soon!

Looks great from the outside and very pleasant inside. Plenty of seating for casual drinks and dining. Service was good with polite staff. A little wait for food but was worth it. Price definitely matched portion. Good 5 star ratings.

Looks a nice place, However first time visiting and both our pint glasses were dead, Maybe it was a busy day and the glasses were still warm but I wouldn't have served them at our pub..Greene King food is normally nice but never tried it here

Nice location and beautifull area, also really nice staff at the pub.The prices are really good, and the room looks really nice, a few little defects in the bathroom but that doesn't change my opinion about the room. The food in the pub is really good and the prices are too, definitely comming back in the future. The locals and staff made me feel really welcome (travelling by myself)If I could give more stars I would.

Not impressed. Took me ages to find an outside table that was both straight and clean. They all looked like they wanted a good rub down or at the least a stiff brush, some even had rubble on them, it was like a picnic table graveyard. Table service was good but unfortunately the starter we had was tasteless. Described as salt and pepper squid in batter. The risotto wasn't much better, crusty burnt bits either off the bottom of the pan or off the top where it was reheated.

We attended a family celebration here. The room and attached facilities were adequate for the amount of people who attended. A hot and cold buffet was provided and was varied and pretty extensive. All tasted great. Pleasantly surprised by the price of a bottle of wine, very reasonable well below what I was expecting to pay. The only negative from me and not giving 5 stars was that the seating was a tad on the cramped side. Actually sitting down was fine trying to get in to sit down was difficult.

Had a fab weekend stay visiting grandchildren in the area .Our room was very clean and comfortable, and we ate dinner in both nights, The food and service was superb throughout and Matthew and Glen and all the young team made us feel very welcome.Breakfast was just as memorable as dinner. Full marks for a Full English !The Rockingham is what it is, a little gem run by people who care .We like Greene King and would have no hesitation in recommending the Rockingham. But the best recommendation of all is that we will return and have already told our friends and family

So we have been here pre-pandemic and the food used to be great but unfortunately this place has gone downhill now. We have ordered steak-most of it was fat, fish and chips-fish was like watery inside and the batter was not nice and chips were probably very old and fried twice so they can be warm. 3 stars for location, drinks and dessert and managers

Was fairly disappointed really. 2 young lads serving our meals were both very rude and showed poor customer service skills. Caught one of them on their phone while they was supposed to be on duty. Very disappointing and needs to be changed quickly. One young lad overcharged me for my pint which wasn't poured properly
