Was very busy, good atmosphere as there was a band playing for bank holiday. A little disappointing that we had to rush to order food, notification of food order times not very clear. Sunday roast meals returned as they were only Luke warm.

Came for a meal yesterday with a group of ladies - I ordered the cheeseburger and it was different to when I've been previous times - it's normally served on a board with BBQ sauce -the burger wasn't the usual handmade burger I'd had before which was disappointing and there wasn't BBQ sauce - I wouldn't order the cheeseburger again but the skin on fries were lovely - a few of us ordered the sticky toffee pudding which was delicious but one of our party received a different pudding and was told that it was sticky toffee pudding - it clearly wasn't and was repeatedly told that it was as they had put toffee sauce on top - a replacement was eventually given after eventually being told that they had run out - just tell people you have run out and give them the option to choose an alternative - don't insult their intelligence and fob them off

Never go here again. 20 minutes at bar to order drinks for the 4 of us it wasn't even busy.ordered our meals and we was by this time 1hr waiting.people that came in after us was being fed.A waitress came over so we asked how long for our meals and she said it depends what we ordered.3 pies and a chicken burger she said that's why then I said that I worked in a kitchen for 10yrs it would have been quicker to do it myself. About 10 to 15 mins after they brought our food out and it was lovely.couldnt fault it .Their staff need more training behind the bar and in their kitchen.havnt they heared of multi tasking. Disgusting.Rant over!!!! Also it was my birthday & my son & family had taken me here for a treat .

Just been for lunch. After a bit of a mix-up over menu about what thay serve on what days . Manager sorting things so I could have what I was hoping for .So a vary big thank-you. And I have to say the salad the chief made me was lovely and everyone else enjoyed what thay ordered. So I am pleased to say am sure we will be back again. Once again thank you.

Had a lovely meal here, burgers was very nice and the chips was like old fashioned hand made chips. Would recommend this place to eat, also a very busy pub on a Weekend if you just want to watch a band on a Friday evening.

Very popular place for an excellent Sunday lunch. Friendly, helpful staff in well maintained / recently refurbished premises. Good choice of decent beers: wall to wall Sky sports.

Just had a meal here, must say was most surprised to have managed to book a table for 4 as it's normally too busy to get one...more so it being a Bank holiday Monday.Disappointed in 1st place at how long we were waiting to be served at the bar, bar area wasn't at all busy so don't know what the hold-up was.Sat down to study the menu then ordered at the bar...again a lengthy wait. Ordered 4 meals and wasn't informed that there would be any delay to meals arriving. However after having waited an hour (no exaggeration) one member of the party went to enquire where our meals were, to be told...oh they won't be a moment they're just being plated up! Table next to us who came in after we did received and ate their meal and left before we even got ours. What an absolute disgrace had we known what was coming we would have cancelled the order and requested a refund.3 Meals were barely lukewarm 4th one was told to be careful of the dish as it had been sat in oven and very hot!2 steaks were requested medium but came well done, 1 should have had a sauce but didn't...2 steak knives but no forks!4th meal was spoiled by the fact that it was cold.To add insult to injury was charged £2 for a plain soda water for the driver of the party. We've visited here before and been happy with both the service and food...Needless to say that was our last visit. No wonder there wasn't a problem securing a table!Totally shoddy service and quality

Beautiful food and friendly staff

the weekday fixed price lunch is now £10.99 and it is value for money. fish and chips was ok. would like the chunky chips to be cooked longer and more crispy.

I would love to say I loved the place. But that wasn't the case. Awful coffee and tiny hamburgers. I order two hamburgers for me and a friend. They asked me what sauce with each meal, great. Twenty minutes later they only bring one of the hamburgers!.
