The Beehive in Rotherham

The food we had tasted nice. However, average of £15 per head spent, was appalling for the portions served... £10 for a king prawn starter, was a tonne of onion and eight prawns, barely king... £14 for a XXL prawn salad which was the size of a starter... And both were supposed to have bread, which didn't come until asked.It's sad that a great pub with good food is going downhill.

Went to the beehive for celebration my granddaughter's birthday. Food was good restaurant quality, piping hot and very tasty. Starters for sharing came on wooden platters and had beautiful chilli chicken prawns and whitebait , delicious.The steaks that some of the party had were tender and very well presented lovely chips . Staff were polite and helpful . It was like going to a good standard restaurant not a pub and pubgrub . Well done beehive.

We had a celebratory event this afternoon in the private upstairs room. We had 40 people there, and there was plenty of space (and we also had the large outside verandah. The buffet for £8.95 was very high quality, and more than ample. The staff were very helpful, kind, and always made sure if we needed anything else.All in all a superb venue, very highly recommended.

A pub that has undergone a major refurbishment in the last few years. We walked in without a reservation and were able to get a table. Would advise checking if a reservation was required at night or the weekends. The prawn wrap was huge and tasty, that being my wife's meal and the steak pie was great. A terrific place and there is a smallish car par.

Lovely lunchtime food: steak baguette and Caesar salad: delicious. And the hand cut chips…….!! Mmm!!!

We had heard of good reviews for The Beehive. We arrived at 19.45 and it seemed quite busy. We browsed the menu and made our choices and waited for our order to be taken. When the waitress came all the choices we had made were unavailable !! We all had to choose again ! Bearing in mind it was 19.45 what on earth is happening. Poor food ordering or what. Maybe someone could tell us the best time to come when there might be more choices

My wife & I called in on Sunday afternoon on the off chance we could be accommodated & the young chap who we dealt with did exactly that. We were shown straight to a table where our drinks order was taken immediately & brought to us in no time at all. We then ordered a starter & a main course each. All the food was delivered in a timely manner & was delicious and piping hot. I cannot recommend highly enough & we will definitely be back - but we’ll book next time I promise.Thank you to the Beehive staff for accommodating us - it was a real pleasure to visit.

It was our first time at The Beehive - I'd heard really good things about it. I booked for my husband's birthday with my in-laws and our 2 children - we weren't disappointed!The decor is lovely and modern, and staff were welcoming. The first thing they did was make sure the kiddies had crayons for colouring. The menu is varied and there's lots of choice (even for fussy eaters like us!)The food looked and tasted fabulous! My father in law is a fish and chips connoisseur - he said it was the best he had ever tasted!We would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

Generous portions and very well cooked mains. Chunky chips were like roasties! I liked that my steamed veg were still firm, but some people might not. Shared some Profiteroles for dessert but they were not fresh cream, and the chocolate filling added too much sweetness for my taste. Would go again though to try some other dishes on the menu.

Nice pub with lots of tables in cody of shoot rooms. plenty of parking. But i think the meals are over priced. The service was very slow and not that friendly to be honest.So average meals for above average prices. Although the started were really nice.
