The Manor Barn Real Steakhouse in Rotherham

The Manor Barn was a really good choice for a family 60th celebration. The venue has ample free parking and very spacious to accommodate your party. It is a very inviting venue, polite, helpful staff. The food provided was well presented and good quality. We also had their resident DJ who was pretty good. Enjoyable, successful evening

We had a family birthday for my youngest son on a Sunday. So the Sunday roast was a must. Fantastic food and great value for money. We brought our own birthday cake in but obviously didn't have any plates. Not a problem the lady serving the Sunday roast provided us with some. First class meal and service.

We booked for Mother's day yesterday with my family. Mum, sister and her husband came down from South Shields , my wife and boys and my brother and his wife. The place was really nice and the staff were friendly. The lady came and took our drink order first. My wife wanted a corrs but they didn't have any on. My sister asked for a martini cocktail to be told there was a problem with the fans and they was not on. My sister in law wanted a prosseco and elderflower to be told that they had no prosseco so she had water.An hour later our starters came out which were tiny. Another hour later our main meals came out. We did not eat any of the meal as the roast potatoes were like rocks they brought out 1 little bowl of overcooked veg for 9 people. The meat was very little and my sons chicken looked liked it had been its oven about 1 week. We stated we were not happy with this and would pay for our drinks and leave. This meal was booked as my mum has not been out with all her children for a very long time. Although the staff were friendly this was not acceptable and we ended going back home and ordering a kfc. As a manager of a pub restaurant myself I was appalled as the meals came out like they did. We will not be returning.

Did a fantastic job at cantering for my sons first birthday 🎂 he had the best time aswell as all the guests that were invited, thankyou again x

Staff welcoming,nice drink, and I'm sure it's wheelchair friendlyI had the 10oz steak about 3oz of it was fat that wasn't rendered and wasn't nice to cut off.I asked for it to be medium rare but was definitely very rareLadies toilets need a good cleantoilet rolls on cistern so it gets handled by everyone and no hand wash

Had daughter's baby shower here. Never again. Afternoon tea sandwiches with minimal filling if any at all, scotch egg with black yolk no white sugar for the tea and to top it all off opened the clotted cream to find it very mouldy.AVOID.

Food was okay at best. But some people in my family ended up not liking theirs. Chicken and Steak were overcooked and chips were raw. Nice atmosphere, but hopefully they improve their food before I return to it again.

Very disappointed. Not enough staff. Food not great. Starter limp lettuce pate not sure what bread was meant to be. Cold rolls very cold when cut into. I believe they came out of freezer. 2 hours after starter finally get up to carvery. Run out of veg when our turn to choose. Was not told this was a carvery dinner!! Hence got up and left.

Went to a wedding here nice for a small wedding staff really helpful food was wonderful
