The Rhinoceros, J.D.Wetherspoon in Rotherham

Visiting Rotherham for the first time and googled Whetherspoons, which came up with The Rhinoceros. Went in and thought, looks like a Whetherspoons but doesn't feel like a Whetherspoons. A pint or two and a food order later, realised it isnt one now. Worth a visit on a Saturday afternoon, cheap beer 👍 cheap and lovely food 👍 and really friendly and polite staff 👍. Clientele look a bit rough round the edges (some would say that about me) but Iooks can be deceiving as clientele are warm, friendly and welcoming. Would come back again - thank you Rhinos

Good pub and cheap prices. Typical Rotherham pub. Not busy and not classy.

Enjoyed many a late morning/early afternoon bite to eat and a drink when this was still a Wetherspoons Pub, staff were friendly and fun and the atmosphere was always pleasant. It's now under new ownership and has different staff, who are mostly very young, untrained, Ignorant and miserable. Seemingly overnight, It went from being our favourite, happiest and most welcoming place to a dirty boozer with sticky tables, cold, unappetising food and staff Incapable of a smile, a please or a thank you. Don't waste your time and money, they really don't deserve anyone's custom. Visited again after two months but nothing changed. Never again.

Was in Rotherham for a gig about 2 weeks ago . Never been there before ... my Son had , and suggested this place . Probably the BEST all day brunch / breakfast or whatever it's called I have ever had in a Wetherspoons . Spoke to a member of staff who told us food got cooked when ordered . NOT left on a hot plate for untold time . 5 stars .. oh and staff friendly as were a couple of locals I spoke to .

A nice Wetherspoons less than 5 minutes walk from Rotherham train station. Usual free wifi, cheap beer and food. Lots of "colourful" locals.

Excellent food choice and exceptional value for money. The pub itself isn't great.. bit run down and could def benefit from a bit of paint but that aside if decor doesn't bother you then its absolutely worth having a meal there. I had a large Tuna & Cheese Panini melt with chips and Soft drink for only £4.29. Can't better that anywhere else and it was delicious too.

A great pub with friendly staff. Good for wheelchair access as its all on one level and has plenty of space for wheelchairs at the tables. Good selection of food which is great value for money and you get plenty of food for the price.There is a great selection of real ales available as well as a great selection of other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks which are all reasonably priced.The pub I feel would benefit from a refurbishment as the tired decor and stained carpets let this popular pub down. With a revamp this would be a fantastic pub and would appeal to a wider variety of people.

The food was great, the staff brilliant, price of the food brilliant, location great.The people in there drinking at 10 is normal but the abusive vile and racist behaviour of the cliental was appalling. The fact that the management allow this behaviour shows that they condone it.I was ashamed to be white British if that is the type of people who represent us are...Avoid the place unless you agree with that type of behaviour in which case go there enjoy you Beer and stay off the streets
