Winter Green in Rotherham

Emma and the team welcomed the opportunity to cater for a large group today following my boys baptisms. Nothing was too much trouble… even helping my little one at the Carvery. Speaking of which… the Carvery was on point - we definitely weren’t disappointed.Always a pleasure to visit the Winter Green, credit to the team working today, thank you! 💙

Just amazing! Best Carvery in the town! ….The team worked so so hard today to deliver 47 meals tasty, hot, and delicious at a great value….They trimmed the place up so well and all was really enjoyable, plus nothing was to much trouble for the team here and they were so supportive to us all.Well done team Winter Green, just amazing!

Came for a drink and food after a walk with our little dog. I ordered via the QR code. All worked really smoothly. 2 mins for drinks delivered to table. Food delivered hot. Friendly staff. Lovely and clean. Extra thoughtful to bring clean water out for our dog

Had a lovely carvery here for Sunday Dinner. Very generous with the meat portions and good range of veg. What's even nicer are the staff. They are very friendly and accommodating. Very good with my young nephews. Would definitely eat here again. Apple crumble was sublime

We were really impressed with the service, we asked to change a drink as it was flat the staff member think her name was Di helped us without any complaint. She was lovely, very efficient. The food was nice especially the lemon, muffin cheesecake. It was absolutely hands down the best dessert We’ve had in ages. Also love the fact we can have the dogs in the beer garden. This is something that a lot of pubs have stopped and really appreciate that the winter green allows this. All in all in lovely impromptu visit, we’ve been coming for a while and will be seeing you again very soon. Thanks again..

This has now become our 'go to' for a decent local carvery. Clean, tidy, friendly staff, 'local pub' vibe and as well as the meat, they know how to cook veg nicely.Add to that a huge scraps box of treats for our dog and it's a winner all 'round.

We are very pleased as we were welcomed as we enter through the doors. The staff treated us in a very professional way. They were very helpful and pleasant.The food was vey enjoyable and piping hot which we really appreciate.I been in catering business myself for over 35 years and been to many eating places after I finish my business and I must say that Winter Green is the first place where I really enjoyed the food, service and the atmosphere.Thank you very mush for your hospitality.

I’ve been here a few times recently. Staff are very friendly and the food is good. I always go for the carvery and the food has always been good ( beef a bit tough so now stick with turkey) veggies are hot and I like that there is an area with gravy and sauces. Today I also had the sticky toffee pudding and it was delicious! It’s nice that the staff come around asking if everything is ok and saying bye when we left too. Will be back for sure 🙂

Friendly staff with good pub grub. We had 2 large carveries with drinks and the bill came to just over £25. Would visit again. Lovely interior, large venue and warm inside always a plus in winter! Plenty of parking. Was busy when we visited on today at 2.30pm.

Booked a table for 3 at 2 o'clock, wasn't very crowded at all, pleasant surprise and after 2 minutes were shown to our table and made welcome.About 3 minutes waiting for the bar, ordered drinks and paid for our carvery.We proceeded to load our plates, choice of 3 meats (on this occasion beef, turkey and ham) we had all 3 coupled with Yorkshire pudding and stuffing, then went round the tourines with peas, carrots, roast potatoes, sprouts and parsnips and cauliflower cheese , off to the opposite table for gravy and a choice of sauces including mint, cranberry and horseradish all available in separate pots to take away.The meal was very nice , the turkey succulent as was the ham but the beef was a tad tough or maybe just the cut that I had, nevertheless it was a very enjoyable meal and the cauliflower cheese excellent.,the parsnips tender and sweet as were the sprouts all in all a very tasty experience.My compliments to the chefWe had a pleasant experience on this visit and will return in the near future.The staff were friendly and we felt safe in our surroundings, there's sanitizer present and help freely available , in fact the chef even volunteered to carry my plate to the table ( I think I might have slightly overloaded it)A very enjoyable meal, reasonably priced in safe and pleasant surroundings
